Voted Yes for Ready To Die, Life After Death, and Black On Both Sides. Can't speak on Digable Planets.
Black on Both Sides and biggie are certified..throw in Black Star too
I feel Blowout Comb has more than enough quality but not much past that...
Albums (off the top of my head) from 1994 that I regularly play more than the Digable Planets album:
Illmatic
Ready to Die
Sun Rises in the East
Stress Extinction Agenda
Beatnuts album
Main Ingredient
Hard to Earn
World Life
Keith Murrary debut
Dare Iz A Darkside
Da Bush Babees debut
Il Al Skratch album

LAD > WTF
It's the GOAT double album to me. What do you think is filler?
fukking You Tonight
I Love the Dough (kinda, love Jay)
Another
Nasty Boy
The World is Filled (kinda, less than the rest)
Those for sure and even The Diary (Scarface) but the rest...idk tbh
Either way it has the quality to contend with those albums, no matter the preferences. It is exquisite, but what does it bring to the table other than quality?
So let me get this straight.
By it's omission, "Playa Hater" isn't filler to you?
(No judgment, just curious.)
I don't like the emcees. Too many Q-Tip/Special Ed esque flows, they all sound like less talented amalgamation of the aforementioned + Camp Lo. Didn't the Boogiemonsters drop that yr too? Literally interchangeable with them except with less jazzy production and better rhyming.
idk about Boogiemonsters tho.
