I haven't listened to a Spice 1 album in probably 15 years. I do remember really liking 187 He Wrote and Amerika's Nightmare so I voted for them.

When Spice 1 dropped his self titled album the cut you would hear blowin subs outta muthafukkaz trunks was 187 Proof. The bassline on that song ROCKED 15's. You would hear that shyt up and down E 14th, up and down San Pablo, all the way to the Rich.

The story was dope, original, but that was one of THEE hardest bass lines that slapped nikkaz trunks during that time out here. Not only did the streets fukk with it local radio gave it push, Sway, KMEL.. They would play it on The Box also.

Then the second single was Welcome To The Ghetto. That shyt got MAJOR radio and video play also. The message hit home with everybody during that time. You just had Rodney King, LA riots. The lyrics, the beat/sample, and that shyt used to hit hard in the trunk also.One of the dopest rap songs ever made, everything he spitting on that shyt still ringin true to this day.

Bruh, hearing the first 2 singles on the radio, cats who was old enough to drive with 15s and zapco hook up slapping that tape, prime Ant Banks and EA-Ski on production, the videos, we all ran out and copped that murhafukkin tape.

"What's Ya Fantasy"...The R&B cut "Feelin' A Good Thing"...Jackers "I Can't Fix It"

and, it was different for myself, who was living in the Nocoast at the time because you had regional, underground rap being represented on there.

You had Roland from Little Rock.
You had Chocolate from Texas.
