just curious, what's the purpose of these threads again? we goin' over albums that are pretty set in cement as classics? sooooo what's the point?

no we're going through all the artists and for some albums, yes they are cemented but we're going through the formality process anyway

but obviously the biggest concern is to determine which albums are classic, so the contentious ones are of particular interest e.g. Hell on Earth, Follow the Leader, The Predator, Tical etc.

i.e. those that could go either way and aren't top tier classics e.g. The Infamous, Illmatic, Doggystyle etc.

Full Circle was a pretty disappointing followup and Heiro as a group has yet to top 3rd Eye to this day

yeah my point is nothing is set in stone. I think Common has 3 classics, Em has 1 at least, G Rap has a couple or so. But also, they aren't set in stone like a Cuban Linx/36 Chambers etc. so we test out how consensus they really are

follow the hash tag and you won't miss another thread

yeah no question 3rd Eye is better but I just preferred their second sonically. but I'm not a huge fan of the group anyway so I'm not bumping either really.
