SGA showed signs of being an all star at that time. He was one of the up and coming young players in the league. No one wins MVP without at least having a good regular season. It took time for OKC to build and get to that and part of that was them having so many draft picks. Hindsight is always 20/20. Would Shai have been league MVP on a team that was on the treadmill. No way.

Kawhi was hands down the best player in the league when he played in 2019. The question for him was, can he carry a team with no depth. He cannot because he's always sitting. We always knew Kawhi would get his rest. The biggest disappointment was PG. The window has closed on the Clippers. Kawhi is chilling into retirement. He's at home there. He's not going anywhere unless San Diego gets a basketball team. The clippers need to dismantle the team and start their rebuild again.

Yup shai as a rookie avg 10 points on nearly 50% shooting and 37% from three as a 4th option

Harden is the least problematic player on this team, as far as the regular season goes. Hell dude even made it back to the all-nba after a 5 year hiatus. And this year he’s averaging 27-9 and never load managing
Yeah he always shows up in the regular season but when you truly need him what does he do??

He's a Ponzi Scheme!

I thought Bradley Beal was the ponzi scheme :russ:

Chris Paul picked a terrible place to retire.

Kawhi in the meantime too busy collecting the money he's being paid over and under the table to show up to games.

It's not looking too good for the Uncs

Bradley Beal definitely was a senior level account manager at Bernie Madoff's company as well

James Harden is not a ponzi scheme in LA because he's not supposed to be a 1st option on scoring there. He just happened to actually stay healthy and therefore he's required to do more than he signed up for.

It's always been Kawhi's team but they kept hoping he'd have a healthy-ish season and he sort of did in 2023-24 but then went down couple games into the 1st round series. It's just Ballmer being stubborn and not blowing that team up. They really thought guys like Brook Lopez, Bradley Beal and Chris Paul will help the Clippers win regular season games? It's their GM and team ownership being in denial and signing more washed up vets ignoring the fact that you need some more young players to win you regular season games to actually get to the damn playoffs.

It's so funny to me. After the last administration gave him that no trade clause and him in a way pushing John Wall off so the franchise is his., This dude led us into the lotto every year. And any idea of team building with him making that much bread was impossible. We were basically slaves to him for the entirety of that contract.

Only for him to go to Phoenix ( for what we thought was a small amount) only for fans their to get sick of him and start thinking about what the fukk to do with him :russ: I know exactly what they are going through except he produced for us. But the salary and no trade clause i understood completely.
Now he goes to the clippers and it's the same song.

Brad Beal being passed along to disgruntled new people like Herpes.

Ill give you that.

Kawhi was supposed to be the guy but he's been nothing but a pain in the ass there

Harden these last few games has been ballin but you can't count on him in the big moments

Harden in LA has been ok but he's still James Harden from Bernie Madoff's Securities firm. That's his legacy

Their best players will not play or passively aggressive "quit" on the floor with no hopes of winning. This about to get ugly.
That new arena is going to be at about 70% capacity.

Nobody counts on Harden to deliver as a 1st option when it's playoffs, but that's the thing...he signed up in LA to be a 2nd option and actually a 3rd option last year when they still had PG.

They won't even make the playoffs this season so we don't even have to worry about James Harden delivering on the biggest stage.

But as a regular season guy? At least he's had two healthy regular seasons recently when so many others didn't. That's the funny thing in today's NBA, no matter how bad he's in decisive games, at least lately he can suit up for those games.
