That's what casuals do today. Actual Hip Hop heads never bring up sales when talking music. It's just like back in the day, the sh*t was either wack or it was dope. Nobody knew how much anything sold, and nobody cared. You were either a nice MC with a dope album, or you weren't.
Labels have these newbies talking sales now because they know the artistry isn't pushed as much anymore. So the dummies use that argument to validate why so and so is whatever. But none of that matters if they're a trash artist. Sales don’t help these dudes. We just saw that with the Kendrick/Drake situation. Either you got it or you don't. Sales won't buy you skill.
