So Be It Pt. II still on Apple Music tho they fixed the title. I play it on Apple Music on my phone and it's Pt. II, if I play it on my iTunes on my PC it's the original tho :dead: Pt. II is actually dope too

Pusha verse of the year

:wtf:

I know it’s all a matter of preference but I don’t see it. That’s one of the tracks that was borderline skip for me despite the Mike Tyson bar being sick

Just overall some of these beats are surprisingly lackluster for Pharrell’s standard. I’m re-listening to Almost Dry and yea it’s not close beat-wise. Where is the Diet Coke, Open Air, Brambleton, etc, beats that didn’t need multiple listens to get used to they just immediately blew you away. I don’t get that from this album. The beats aren’t bad, they are good, but this is Pharrell one of the goats I expect HHNF quality especially with 13 tracks

The Undertaker Theme So Be it is actually good, I am hoping they keep both and not throw it to the bushes.

Unpopular opinion but this album was mid

I agree I'm actually shocked at how mid it is. Malice is still a beast but biggest let down for me was the production these beats weak as hell also most of the features was mid as well. if you been listening to garbage 24/7 this might be impressive I guess

I wouldn't listen to 95% of this ever again

Decent.

Cons:

Starting the album with a song about your deceased mother, albeit thoughtful is momentum killing

that "Culturally inappropriate" tag is annoying and overused

The beat on Inglorious b*stards is terrible. It's like they were going for that sparse, skeletal production of HHNF but missed the mark

Too much damn Pharell choruses that don't resonate

Great album. Everything about this shyt has been impressive. The snippets, the singles, the traditional media press run, and then delivering a great album. How many times have we seen this within the last half decade? Common and Pete Rock did it last year but outside of that I can't think of anyone else. Hearing great black artists talk about their art, deliberately with journalists or fellow artists...it's refreshing in an era of distant, mysterious artists.

I also love the way this album has natural, non-forced moments and nearly all of them hit hard. From the stunning intro to Kendrick's verse to So Be It to Ace Trumpets. Every track that made headlines was worth it.

Honestly the only disappointing part of the album (and I hate to say it) was the Nas verse. It's not bad it just doesn't fit the album at all. This isn't the album where we need a "did you know I made being a vet cool and won a Grammy" verse. You either hit them with some Esco shyt or those types of verses you gave Ross, man. Come on.
