That's nonsense. The Clipse are old school. They don't post on socials like all these younger fukkbois do. They don't post passive aggresive memes like soft ass Drake. They are dropping an album, it has bars for the people they want to shoot at, and they are discussing it in the interviews leading up to the album release. That's how rap actually worked in the glory days....

Exactly!

Their press run for this is great work!

Honestly this the most important feature on the album. The others cool to different degrees and Kendrick really went off, but Clipse rhymed at such a high level you delete any outside verses and it's still an elite display of rapping start to finish. But the Stove chorus could not be replicated by them.

The dedication to economy and precision and not wasting any bars is crazy. Not that every single bar hit, but the success rate way up there. Even the most talented rappers usually got a few throwaway verses or even a couple throwaway tracks, even on their best albums. Including previous Clipse albums. But there's almost no waste on this from a spitting perspective.

Well said.

I get Kendrick has the backing and popularity.

But honestly, Malice is something else.

He's such a great writer.

This album solidified him further. He is completely a Goat to me.

Original as fukk, and just dope, sharp.

In that interview with them and Pharell Malice says that he dreams one day they'll all be back recording with Chad Hugo again, which A) was very heartfelt B) means he wants to continue making more music and C) they're gonna make an effort to make ammends with Chad.
link?

if I go track by track on who had the better verse I got it like this:

The Birds Don’t Sing - Malice
Chains & Whips - Push
P.O.V. - Malice
So Be It - Push
Ace Trumpets - Malice
All Things Considered - Push
M.T.B.T.T.F. - Push
E.B.I.T.D.A. - Pharrell lol
F.I.C.O. - Malice CLEARLY
Inglorious b*stards - Push
So Far Ahead - Malice
Let God Sort Em Out - Malice (“…Soul leave ya body like a Fentanyl rush…”)
By The Grace Of God - Push

That's fair, but they ain't competing, they both just spitting crazy :damn:

the production on here is SO GOOD.....

We gotta talk about P man......malace and push also nimble as ever.

loving middle of the album
I've made posts about how hip hop producers reach a certain high then stop going outside and being active. Then one day they decide they wanna step back outside with atrophied muscles trying to get that old feeling back. We saw this shyt recently with Dr Dre. As great as he is, he stopped being active for all these years and lost touch

On the opposite end this nikka Pharell has been around the entire time:wow: In the past 25 years I can't think of any significantly long break that Pharrell has taken, and he's as sharp as ever. P fukks with the youth, fukks with his peers, nikka is designing clothes etc:mjlol:

Nikkas think age is a death sentence in hip hop when the truth is the real death sentence is nikkas stop being active and deliberate about their art. That's what makes nikkas :flabbynsick: Nikkas need to take notes from this album, aesthetic, and rollout because these 50 year old nikkas bodying this shyt

So yes nikkas need to seriously start having the Pharell conversation:wow:
