The album is weak, lack energy.
After the King Disease and Magic triloty, old rapper have no excuse to niot deliver stron energetic albums.

After sitting with it I give it a 7.5/10. Push and Malice did their thing but the choruses are so horrible that you gotta take some points away. Pharell makes some of these songs damn near unlistenable. His chorus completely ruined So Far Ahead. That goofy ass "happy" voice he's using is annoying as fukk. His presence just makes these songs sound dated.

But the good news is that the clipse are still elite spitters. They really haven't lost a step. They just gotta connect with some of the current producers in the game. Pharell is not that guy anymore.

I can definitely understand this complaint. Pharell's choruses were probably the weakest part of the album for me, but I still enjoyed the songs overall.

Clipse>>>>>>Outkast

You have Bobby Brown jaw from whatever rocks Push sold you.

Not one of the Clipse albums is on par with ATLiens or Aquemini. Personally, SPCM is >>>>> than Clipse discogarphy too. Stankonia is fair game. Still Outkast first four album run >>>>> Clipse.

OutKast co-produced a lot of their own music, have some of the most classic hooks in Hip Hop. Sleepy Brown on Kast songs >>>>> Pharrell on Clipse songs. Kast doing their own hooks >>>>> Clipse.

I could go on, but it would be culturally inappropriate.

Chains and Whips gives me a "No Church in the Wild" vibe. Maybe the rhythm in the beat. I'm still trying to rank the Clipse albums myself and not sure where to put this one yet. I need to give it some more spins.
You nailed it. Agreed

Two shirts, two vinyls, & a cd otw……& I’m still thinking about copping a hoodie from this :wow:
Where is the website for a hoodie/shirt?

And yes…some of those Pharrell hooks are not good and John Legend is always corny but everything else is just an amazing body of work.
