Why do I always feel like Malice's verse on Whips And Chains is unfinished?

I don't hate the Nas verse but I hate the "change the beat for the legendary rapper" trope Eminem has ruined so many songs he's featured on with that bullshyt. And the changed beat is never better than the original. Nas might as well have rapped on the same shyt Clipse rapped on

Anyway, I finally got a chance to really sit with the album and this sh*t is fire.

Only song I didn't like is "All Things Considered". It wasn't terrible or anything, just didn't really stand out as far as verses, hook, beat, nothing.

A couple of the Pharrell hooks were a bit much ("So Far Ahead", "By The Grace Of God") but I don't dislike them enough to say they'll never grow on me.

Beats were dope but "E.B.I.T.D.A." sounds like some sh*t De La Soul would rap over. Not saying that's a negative or a positive, it's just a weird vibe. I don't dislike the song though. It would never happen but they should get De La on it.

Malice obviously never should've stopped rapping, he's an animal. Him on "F.I.C.O." is the best verse on the album but I can't agree he outshined Push. It's just we've been hearing Push rap while Malice was "retired" so Malice sh*t hits harder.

My favorite song over all is "M.T.B.T.T.F.".

Kendrick's verse was dope. Tyler was dope. Nas verse was cool but if there was ever a moment to get back into his Escobar bag, this was it. A regular braggadocios hip-hop verse doesn't land as well on a Clipse album.

The press run for this album has obviously been GOAT tier....however, a few things (Kendrick could've been on "So Be It", Jay could've been on....literally anything) I could have lived my whole life without knowing.

Album is a masterpiece. The weakest moments are ab liva verse and Nas verse. Those verses are dope so that’s no shade. They just didn’t all the way live up to the hype of the feature

5 mic classic for rhymes, beats, and a rollout without gimmicks. They are aging so well and respectfully I may never quit rapping myself. Salute.

Yall see the Travis Scott hive on social media unsuccessfully trying to tear this down? I'm actually tempted to think those are some kind of bots or paid shills hired by a PR company. I always thought Travis music was something people just put on when playing smartphone games or taking the bus to school. Imagine RIDING on the internet for Big Mac or H&M, of which Travis is the musical equivalent. Couldn't be me.

Think I said the same in the other thread, but Travis just makes inoffensive background music, anywhere from meh to great production over non-noticeable lyrics. I actually like two of his albums/mixtapes, but in general, both fanbases don’t even overlap, so them running down the Clipse album and acting like Travis’ “stepped on their rollout” doesn’t even make sense.
