Nah. Pharrell was needed on this album. Skateboard did his thing. The nicca snapped on So Far Ahead. Talking that shyt.

They don't know what it is when I'm on it
But once they figure it out, I don't want it
So far ahead, you nikkas are behind
Behind
You can't see it from where you sitting (shyt)
But this Ferrari leather with the matching stitching is
So far ahead (so far), you nikkas are behind
Behind

:banderas:
Wow that was deep :wow:

i fear that this is the last remnant of my coming of age period of hip hop. 23+ years of this shyt.

KD2 -> Magic -> KD3 run, maybe these guys have a run in them, but nothing is for certain. Besides Dot whos likely gonna go into the next phase of his career, Tyler, maybe JID and whoever from the last decade to really express a love for this hip hop shyt and are actually active (and they are not even from the era im referring to)... this may be the swan song for the single producer, 3 verse a song album era I fell in love with. Haven't heard the Freddie yet but he's at least doing the locking in with a single producer too.

Three weeks later and im still hooked.

I feel like its the opposite. I think a lot more rappers are going to see the success the veterans are having and start locking in with one producer. Any rapper with a decent to good budget and some buzz should be knocking down Metro Boomin’s door to get an album going. Hit-Boy should be beating rappers off of him like mosquitoes after what he and Nas accomplished. Madlib works notoriously slow and he just suffered a huge loss with California fires but who would say no to a JID/Madlib album?

If you’re a rapper and serious about the craft locking in with a like-minded producer can’t hurt.

The numbers Clipse did, Nas did, and Gibbs is about to do should be a wakeup call to Hip Hop
