Wasn't invested in the outcome of this fight either way, but props to Punk for getting the biggest pay day of his career and living one of his dreams.
He obviously wasn't brought into the octagon because of his skill level but who gives a shyt? UFC is also a business and freak show fights have always been synonymous with the sport. It's no different than Pride (the organization MMA purists always point to as the golden era of the sport) feeding fighters with 0-0 records to Fedor or giving Alberto Del Rio a shot against prime Cro Cop.
Plus he returned the investment with those PPV buys and put over Mickey Gal in a major way. Seems like a win/win for everyone involved with the exception of the Green Ranger and insecure MMA neckbeards who are miserable all the time anyways.
