Honestly, not many people have spoken on it but when Gall hit that takedown I expected the match to be over in seconds, yet despite not standing a chance on the ground (well, he didn't stand much of a chance standing up either, lol) Punk still held out for a good minute and a half. Most of the time when a guy gets taken down like that it's over right away so although it's not much, that's the one thing I can hand to Punk.

Going into it I said the worst case scenario was Punk getting one-hit k.o'd immediately, and then the PPV getting really low buys since it was pretty much built on the draw of Punk and not much else.

He took a risk at the beginning, miscalculated and ended up getting no offense in as a result, but he was able to last a little over 2 minutes and according to OP's prediction he drew a ton of buys Coulda been a lot worse
