Title shot? I don't think Dana wants a live death on his watch. Here's the new champ winning the title from one of the toughest guys in MMA. Now imagine if Punk's in there :damn:

Punk got Brock down repeatedly at Summerslam 2013. These 170'ers ain't ready.

Tyron Woodley don't want no smoke

 nah seriously tho we would witness a live decapitation if they put Punk in there with ANYONE top 12ish at that weight class especially a Woodley or Lawler.

It'd be dope if Punk won, but it's practically impossible for me to envision a Punk post-fight victory interview happening.

I just can't wrap my head around that :patrice:
The thing is people to me are somewhat overrating Mickey gall ( doesn't mean he won't win ) they are acting like he's fighting prime GSP or something. Like they said in the show what happens if he can't KO or submit punk right away ? If punk can hang for a round it's gets interesting

Honestly if Punk just makes it past round 1 that's a success in my eyes:manny:
If punk looks anyway competent and he wants to fight more he should get more fights . If he wants to get better the only way is to keep training and fighting better competition. Gall looks good and hungry and as we get closer I think he's going to win but punk needs the fights to get experience

CM Punk's open workout

Mickey Gall's open workout

I love MMA fighting for the entertainment but dont know much about the techincal aspects

Thoughts/ critiques on CM Punk's and Mickey's open workout? (I know they are mostly exhibition, but still)

I honestly expect Punk to lose via 1st round TKO. :yeshrug:
Gall has alot more to lose than Punk does. Can you imagine being the guy that lost to CM Punk in his first MMA match? :mjlol:

I don't care if dude is a scrub or not. Losing to a pro wrestler with no MMA experience is a hard pill swallow. Gall is going to destroy Punk. Mark my words

37yrs old with a bad back & knees does equal more fights, even Punk himself has hinted before that this might just be a one & done.

I'm not really that much more knowledgeable than you breh. I know nothing about boxing and I've watched a few BJJ competitions, but I've only really wrestled for a couple of years in high school.

@THEREALBRAND @The Infamous and @The G.O.D II would have way more to say about this than I do

From what I can see, Punk looks pretty bad on the ground. I don't know if he's really that bad or he's just fukking around...probably a combination of the two. Mickey looks way more athletic than Punk. Mickey obviously looks like he's miles ahead of Punk when it comes to jiu jitsu, but he is a brown belt and Punk still looks like he's starting to learn BJJ.
