Surely you can't be faulting a wreslting subforum for talking about a wrestler :skip:

No I don't fault people for talking about him I just find it funny that people hate dude so much for whatever reason, that there will be pages of people just talking shyt about him no matter the situation. Dudes are mad at him & talking shyt about him because he wants his money because WWE is using his name that I assume he owns the rights to. Like he should just say screw it I don't need that money & let WWE fukk him over.

Nobody has mentioned this, but WWE would have zero percent chance at winning against Punk given what just happened with Ed O'Bannon winning a similar lawsuit against the NCAA

I don't know about that. Punk is the type to hold grudges.

Sad? :russ: Please. He's just an a$$hole and a lot of us are seeing that now.
Remove your emotions and explain how someone in this situation is an a$$hole for wanting to be rightfully paid by a company making money off their name and image.

It's not just about that. It's about abruptly quitting and going home right before Road to Wrestlemania and possibly violating his contract.

With all the comments Punk made about royalties to the wrestlers with the Network and how all that is going to happen, I wonder if this is more about getting WWE in court and dare them to open the books more. I realize they are a public company, and I have no idea how many of the details are already known. But going forward there won't be DVDs sold, and there won't be many PPV buys......its all about that network #.

Now that Vince has almost got his dream of the WWE being the only game in town like the NFL/NBA.....what is going to happen to the payouts of the mid tier guys.

At the end of the day, I'm not sure the WWE wants to put everything on the table.

Legal representatives for pro-wrestler CM Punk are engaged with WWE officials to settle a range of disputes, including his possible removal in the upcoming game WWE 2K15, GameSpot can confirm. Sources connected to the matter explain that a variety of topics are being discussed with the former WWE champion, who famously departed from the company while under contract in January.

A range of outcomes could materialize from these talks, such as the removal of CM Punk from the game, or indeed his unlikely return to the company. Both matters are routinely speculated online, despite their contradiction with each other, and neither has been confirmed by WWE.

Despite CM Punk's retirement, publisher 2K Games recently used the wrestler's name as part of a promotion for its upcoming WWE 2K15 title. In fact, CM Punk's rivalry with fellow wrestler John Cena is being publicized as a flagship feature for the new title.

This is one of the matters under dispute, and talks between both teams will now determine whether CM Punk remains in the game, and what business agreement can be arranged between both parties.

However, GameSpot understands that--in contrast with widespread speculation--there is no "lawsuit" underway. At the time of going to press, both parties are negotiating a number of topics, which means that it is still possible that a dispute could be taken to a judge, but the matter has not progressed to that stage yet.

Spokespersons for 2K games and WWE declined to comment when approached by GameSpot.

Punk wants his money.

That's irrelevant to this thread and the videogame issue.

So basically you are just upset he left as @Rise To Failure said and you just tried to deny.

Daniel Bryan filled his void and did it exponentially better if you ask me. I'm not upset about anything.

And how we're reacting to this lawsuit goes back to Punk's past behavior of being a jackass and a whiner.

And no one here is disputing Punk's reason for the lawsuit because it's a legitimate reason.
