You're only thinking from a non-business minded perspective

In 10-20 years, he won't be able to tour off of mixtape songs. You tour based on albums & singles

This guy is dropping heat that is not making a dent on radio.

He's gonna be on the chitlin' circuit in 2030 playing the same 5 songs at every concert for the next 25 yrs

It's a completely different day and age, no one gives a shyt what's on the radio, if it's a hot song he can perform it. J. Cole toured for years based off just his mixtape shyt, and still performs plenty of his mixtape material.

One of Jay's best shows in years was the B Side show he did, people want to hear the mixtape songs and lesser known songs because many times it's the real die hard fans going to shows anyway, what die hard fan wants to hear the song that got played a million times on the radio?

EDIT: I mean the two biggest songs that emerged from this whole "beef" and time period aren't album songs or singles and Drake will be able to perform them for as long as he wants--Back to Back and Hotline Bling.

Slippin was a DMX song from 17 years ago, and Meek's version doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as X's, it has no business being a single.

Nvcca I was in HS when it was out, I know when & who it's from

Slippin had all the right ingredients...future hook, next big rap star & a remake to an overlooked yet timeless song

If it was Drake, he would have released it as a single, without question

Album or no album in sight

Meek is doing the right thing, he needed to stop making himself a laughing stock before dropping another album, I'd give it a year or so. Grind like a new artist, feature's, mixtape etc
