I also feel like Nas got POINTED snubbed by not getting a nomination for Stillmatic and One Mic. No good reason whatsoever why that album got completely left off the radar....

If Nas wins, he wins cause the Grammys thought that he deserved it.
I mean it's between him and Drake, their albums got about the same reviews, which probably gives Drake the upper hand cause he's got a lot of haters and sold a lot more, while Nas has a bit more dikkriders in relation to his non-existent haters so his scores were a bit more "volatile" ranging from 3.5 mics to 5. while Drakes was almost all 4-4.5.

But Grammys are totally unpredictable when Kanye, Jay or Eminem ain't involved.


IMO Take Care was probably a bit better (Both 4.5) BUT to see Nas get a grammy would be better for hiphop.

Both are 4.5 imo, the edge for me is that I still play almost every song on Take Care and that I enjoy the "new" music. The freshness of it, i.e. sound like something I can't reference to i.e. something I've never heard.

While LIG is more dope ass traditional hiphop.

When it comes to Hip-Hop, The Grammys have very little credibility. A lot of the voters just don't know enough about hip hop to be able to make intelligent decisions. They usually go with what's popular or what they can dig which is often at odds with the opinions of informed hip hop listeners.

It's like asking people who mostly listen to hip hop and R&B to pick Rock and country winners.

The Carter III was the album of thea year according to most people in 2008 and got the best reviews of all hiphop albums (commercial and underground).

And Stillmatic not being nominated was kinda odd, one of the oddest. The winner was imo correct (Eminem). BUT Mystikal and Petey Pablo instead of Nas and Scarface was laughable.

Specially since Nas had both God's Son (which imo is better than Stillmatic) and Stillmatic. And Scarface a classic in The Fix shyt was laughable, I hope someone got fired. PETEY PABLO

They've got 22 Grammys which means that they've got to take the all rock categories 4 times and they've been out for nearly 35 years. They had 1 year that they won awards other than Rock/Alternative awards. On a ranking scale they might not be worthy of being the group with the most Grammys, but since the 80s they've been relevant for the longest period. And since the Grammy's added a lot more Grammys over the year, it makes sense. And lol @ Nas stans talking down on reviews, they use reviews to big up LIG and say that certain albums like RD aren't classics. Then they shyt on reviews to claim that Stillmatic and It Was Written were classics. Either all reviews are ass or none. OR MAYBE YOU JUST DON'T AGREE.

I'm not a hater, I accept that people fukk with something I don't fukk with if the reception is generally good.

Justin Bieber gets wack reviews, has as many dislikes as likes on his videos, same for Nicki Minaj so I would feel a type of way if they receive major props from official sources. While someone like Taylor Swift gets good reviews, is generally not well received, I might consider her ass but I can't hate on her cause most people seem to respect her and won't feel any type of way if she wins. I don't think I'm above anyone to say that the general public is wrong. That's the characteristics of a fukking loser.


As far as The Grammys, since it became relevant for hiphop around 96-97 I don't think Nas has been snubbed besides one of the worst snubs of all time in not getting nominated for Stillmatic, I Can and God's Son in the same year. Perhaps Jay-z called in a favor to one of his jews or the people giving out the awards that year threw dice about it cause 3 of the albums nominated were wtf-status, the only time I've seen that happen.

1. It's only Nas stans in this thread saying that, it has nothing to do with MY opinion. It's about your shytting on the general publics opinion.
2. People were disappointed that it wasn't better than Carter 1 and 2 after all the hype he had been building up for the album. No one was disappointed like they were with C4, not a single fan that I've met.
3. It was his most complete album, most well balanced, first time he spit bars on an album about something other than money, being the best and bytches (excluding I miss my dogs) IMO.
4. Lol @ U2 fans not wanting U2 to win awards. Why the fukk have they bought 150 million of their records if that's the case? And they've lost more Grammys nomination than they've won.

And the Grammys had 10 awards for Rock/Alternative music.
Every single U2 album has great reviews, and move units all over the world + their tour is always the biggest. Theirs or Rollingstones. So obviously the demand is real and the hate is nearly non-existent. But just like Hiphop, rock fans dislike the fact that commercially not very relevant groups rarely get the chance when they often have the best album. And that's the same with all awards which artists actually want to win. Whether it's MTV, BET, Grammys, American, EMA or hiphop related BET, Source etc.

I'm not gonna get in to more arguments with you, or any other hater I don't even know why I get dragged into this type of shyt.

I shyt on people for hating, not for disliking.
If you don't like the album fine, don't call it all hype, weak reviewers (every single one) and whatever the fukk you're talking about.
