After Biden became President CNN went full Republican. I had to stop watching it for awhile.

Only reason I started back was because there is no basketball on in the evenings when I make it home from work.

CNN got Trump elected by letting him come on during the campaign and spout lies without being challenged because they wanted to hire him on a new show.

A 'neutral', competent news network is exactly what CNN needs to go back to especially because people in the US don't even know what one looks like anymore. That lane exists. Fox has their base, MSNBC has theirs - CNN just held the major news outlet L of the decade thinking their personalities would carry an entire subscription service after their ratings fell off a cliff.

Its damn sure not some integrity thing either. CNN has been a mess off-air too.

Crazy to see this. Was watching CNN last night and they kept saying the media along with other's wants the judge in FL to unseal the Trump affidavit even though doing so could hinder the case and endanger those who have cooperated with the Feds. And even endanger the Feds for that matter.

Might be time for me to make the switch to MSNBC.

It's why I find it laughable when I hear mainstream media painted as liberal media

All the CEO's and execs at these networks are conservative and that's where the main agenda comes from. The print media are very biased and sympathetic towards republicans as well. NYT and washington post don't even try to hide it anymore

They want CNN to be the middle channel in between MSNBC and Fox but ultimately being in the middle means being honest.
What CNN wants to do is ignore all instances of criticizing the conservative republican government because Trump has attacked them so much for bias

Now to shrug off that label they are going to just ignore facts and shoot straight about everything which will only create an even bigger

Centrism isn't going to bleed viewers away from Fox which is what they want to do
Fox has its own problems but ratings and interest isn't one of them

But the thing is, mainstream media will never be viewed as objective and non bias in the eyes of the people they are selling it to, MAGA and conservatives.

Look at Merrick Garland for example, who has gone out of his way to avoid bringing any charges against Trump in order not to appear as biased yet that hasn't stopped MAGA from labelling him as such. He should have done the right thing a long time ago and indict trump and the MAGA insurrectionists

Firstly I disagree that the left is very left. centrist and blue dog democrats run the party and viciously attack progressives and the squad, even more so than they do their opponents, republicans

To the main point, balance should never be the goal when reporting the news, facts and objective truths should be the goal

There's only one way to report a news like that, which is person B is wrong
