I find it hilarious that people keep saying this after the mess that was the Trump Administration. There's literally been nothing worse than Bush and Trump's administration when it comes to the Administration being a mess.
And people will act shocked and like the Dems never had power.

People are ready to be done with this pandemic. While the CRT issue had an impact (which was unrefuted lies), these vaccine mandates from Biden are generally unpopular. While some polls may suggest Americans are for vaccine mandates, voters are unlikely so. When the Republican Virginia governor gets into office, the 1st thing he will do is roll back the vaccine and mask mandates, which will make people happy. Pandemic out of site, out of mind. When you got people in the armed forces about to be discharged, hospital staff, police officers, and regular citizens about to lose their jobs because of not wanting the vaccine, that's when the backlash starts, and why Bidens approval rating is so low. People don't to be told what to do, and Dems are underestimating how selfish people are. "If it's not affecting me, I don't care" is the American way. Me, I'm all for the vaccine and am fully vaccinated. But I have an older brother who is not and is totally against vaccine mandates. He is mad that be could lose his job over it. So it's not just a black white thing. See Kyrie Irving, and how many black people support him and want him playing. Dems are tone deaf when it comes to the pandemic. Yes, the vaccine mandate is for our own good, but it's going to cost political power.
