Spo is a solid coach. They would be wise to take a page out of Pop's book and scale back the minutes played on Bosh, Wade, Bron. They really need to be around 32-35 minutes per game. It should ONLY be about the post season and titles, screw the regular season
That's pretty much what Spo did though. He sacrificed the regular season more or less to make sure Wade was healthy and ready to go in June. Unfortunately for him Wade wasn't.

Yea he did it with Wade, but he should of dabbled into it with Bron and Bosh too. More than anything, they were just mentally worn down. The Heat have played 392 games since Bron and Bosh got to town. That's A LOT of basketball in a short period of time.

Spo does his job. He's not there to challenge guys...if Riley thought that was necessary he'd just coach.

Challenge who?

he outcoached pop last year, but the bron fans have to shyt on him to defend their boy. anytime bron fails its because of everyone else.

No one outcoached anyone

A better offensive system was installed though. Remember Spo's first year. I think this is about the best he can do. Bron needs help. He can be depended on having to score 30-40 a game for them to have a chance.

The heat have the best offense in the NBA

Wade is the scorer they need

:what: if the heat got Lowry and gortat they right back to the favorite

I don't get why people so stuck on names and stars equaling rings. Didn't Miami just get ran off the floor by a better "team" you need pieces that fit. You lose bosh but bring in melo who is basically just another bron/wade type of player you don't fix the perimeter defense, you not fixing the rebounding you not fixing the bench production and with melo bron and wade eating up so much of the cap you will have very little ways to fix them.

If I'm Miami that's what I'm trying to fix. Put a damn team together . Stop with the superfriends shyt it worked for 2 titles because the league couldn't catch up, but we see how it ends.

nikka what are you babbling about

This experiment was a success

Let nip this talk in the bud

Lebron played the fewest minutes he's played in his career

So did Bosh.

Give Spo his credit

Why is he dikkhead? How is it his fault.

The way he planned and managed the season was brilliant.

They sacrificed HCA so that Wade could be at his best in June.

when you put it like that it doesnt sound so brilliant

The heat need Wade to be A1 Wade.

Youre playing the results

The Heat knew they couldn't go into the playoffs with Wade looking as bad as he did against the Pacers in 12 and the Spurs last year.

The pacers and Spurs both got better plus Westbrook was back.

You needed Wade at his best

If you needed Wade at his best and you're saying that was the master plan all along then I'm questioning how Spoelstra didn't realize that Wade wasn't capable of that anymore regardless of how many games he sat out during the year.

And you gotta question sitting him for games on a regular schedule like he did all year. Thats like putting a pitcher in the bullpen for the season then making him a starter in the playoffs and having him pitch on 4 days rest, his body is not going to be used to that workload. Why not just limit his minutes instead of the number of games so he's used to playing frequently, which is how the playoffs are.

Point is, Wade isn't a number 2 option anymore and as a coach you gotta know that. No excuse for not knowing your own team and players better than that.

Wade played the least amount minutes per game for his career

I think they were going on the advice of doctors and trainers. Pace him through the regular season and he will be fresh in May and June

We just have to assume Spo, Wade and the Org are armed with more information to make a decision like this than we are

Plus what was the alternative to making sure Wade was ready to go this postseason?

You obviously want him able to go but it should have been realized that he's not going to be as effective as he once was. Perhaps run more offense for Bosh, I dunno. It seemed like Spo didn't have any type of adjustments to make, no plan B...nothing but desperation moves like Tony Douglas
