The only option the heat had was resting him
This guy Spo is a high school coach and that's it.He had 2 plays all season, get someone open for the 3(Shane,Ray,Rashard,Bosh,ect) or give LeBron the ball.
His point guards ALL THREE of them had no type of direction.No pic and roll game, no mid range, no penetration game....only 3 pointers.
He allowed Chris Bosh to sit around the 3 point line pretty much mid season till the last game.You would think he would step in and tellem straight up hey breh I know you good from this range, but we need more rebounds and less 3 point shooters.
The bench.You have Rashard,Jesus,Birdman,Beasley,Haslem.Any team would love to have these nikkas all on the same bench.What does Spo do?Let Beasely rot.Let Rashard rot until he needs three pointers.Lets Birdman play the post by himself 89% of the time.I wonder what Bosh & Birdman would have looked like locked in the post?Could have even threw Greg down there with him to see what that chemistry was.Could have ran Birdman and Haslem on the block.
Imagine if the COACH would have been working Beassley in the O since he got there.Soon as Wade turned flabby he could have balled out.Or maybe he could have taken some of Wade minutes to let him rest more.
LeBron is the best player in the League, but its only so long you can score all the points,collect all the boards,defend all the best players,run all the fast breaks and everything else he did to keep this team going.
You give that bench to Kobe right now with Mike Brown and he gets a chip after his surgery.
