Eh, sometimes. Not for guys that have been on the roster as long as someone like Cody. The mid card should be refreshed every 5 years or so. A big part of the staleness of WWE the past few years is directly due to how many guys have been around for years doing nothing, but still being on TV.

Cody - 9 years on WWE TV
Ziggler - 11 years on WWE TV in various forms
Ryder - 9 years on WWE TV
Cesaro - 4 years on WWE TV
Axel - 6 years on WWE TV
Wade - 6 years on WWE TV
Slater - 6 years on WWE TV
Primo - 8 years on WWE TV
Epico - 6 years on WWE TV
Swagger - 8 years on WWE TV
Usos - 6 years on WWE TV
Sandow - 4 years on WWE TV, nearly 10 years in WWE system all together
Miz - 10 years on WWE TV

And this isn't even taking into consideration the higher on the card vets like Mark Henry/Big Show/Cena/Orton/Kane that have been around 15-20 years consistently. Calling up NXT people and bringing in NJ guys and TELLING you how many new stars they have doesn't mean the majority of their mid card is stale as fukk and needs to be shuffled anyway. Sending those guys down to NXT isn't going to help.

If you've been on TV for 5 years or more and haven't been able to break out or completely change yourself like Kofi, you should be booted and replaced with fresher talent.
This is the realness

Cody didnt move no meters. Shinsuke Nakamara time, brehs

"I'll be damned if my father's legacy is sizzle reels for NXT"

Pretty easy to decipher what he was saying. HHH sent Dusty off right, but continuing Dusty's legacy into the next generation as Stardust isn't quite bearing the torch. If he's not carrying the legacy right, what's the use?
Wonder who the flirting with the divas shot was towards
Doesn't Hayes still work SD :heh:

I stopped reading when he said he wanted to main event and Vince and trips said no.
There's the. Osteoporosis important to thing
He was sick of the mid-card and his bosses not letting him main event

Perfect example of "People quit their bosses, not their jobs"

Good for cody

He was also sick of being Stardust, and spent 6 months getting told he couldn't bring back Cody. I think that was the biggest tipping point, since he knew Stardust never had a chance to be in a Main Event program. And creative knew that too, basically telling him what they thought of his future

He wanted the title. Not even to be the top guy, he just wanted to the accolade of the title. That's being a mark for yourself and the title. Hollywood was right, brother.

When you get the title you are the top guy 95% of the time. Only losers settle.

That letter was dope. He wanted that brass ring but got strung up in the backstage politics.

:russ: @ him referencing CAWdy and basically saying he'll keep wrestling. Watch him do work.

As much as I dislike Haitch, he can both be responsible and insistent on Dusty but separate from the decision to rehash it on NXT :manny:

Trying to piece this together

So Stardust was not his idea, but he took it and ran with it till he got to a point where he could have a match he wanted with Arrow at SummerSlam. His Dad passes, and he decides to continue on with the match since it was something his Dad enjoyed.

He finishes that match, and thinks "Ok thats over now lets bring back Cody". Creative says "Huh? No just be Stardust ok thanks"

Spends 6 months getting this response, and realizes his dream of being in the Title picture is over. So he makes the call to leave
