once he gets on the mic and that dumb lisp comes out, he’s back to jobbing to Corbin.
Not for nothing, I'm happy for Cody because this was a big fukking moment

On the flipside: NOTHING HAS CHANGED

It has gotten objectively WORSE since he left.

But I see a lot of TSC is dying to watch Cody vs. Ridge Holland on Friday Night Smackdown so I'ma let everyone cook, have THEIR big moment

Imma be honest his entrance was so goated last night I forgot he had the lisp :dead:
Then that clip after the match where he's talking about his dad & the emotions and gets teary eyed, while it was a nice moment the nanosecond I heard that lisp again I was like there's that non-factor nikka I knew :mjlol:

That's what I said in the Wrestlemania thread, let's see what happens when we get to the dog days of the WWE calender.

WWE crowds (minus Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania) are nowhere near NJPW, AEW, GCW and etc neckbeards or not.

Let's see how it is in October and they're in some random ass city with only 5k people like shyttsville Kentucky or some shyt :russ:

copied from another board:

recap of cody rhodes interview after his match on the ringer podcast:

- says coming back to wwe was the easiest decision hes ever had to make career wise.

- wishes aew the best and feels like he did everything he could over there and already wrestled everybody he wanted to wrestle there.

- says he told vince, bruce and nick khan he wanted to keep his look, entrance, theme, etc. and they had no objections to it and that nick khan is the nicest person he's met.

- says his new contract with wwe is probably the longest and most detailed in the history of the business.

- says triple h is legit his favorite wrestler ever, if he didn't already know before, he knows now. triple h was also the last person he saw before his entrance last night.

- says he didn't talk to any wrestler in wwe before last night and that he knows kevin owens felt some type of way about cody not reaching out to him.

- says he probably should have reached out to randy and it blows his mind that randy has become a family man considering hes the same guy who use to throw sticks of dynamite into hotel lobbies.

- always felt some type of way about nxt wrestlers being called "dusty's kids" because dusty was his father, not theirs.

- says ultimately his goal is to go for the heavyweight title in wwe because nobody in his family has done it and he wants to do it for his family's legacy.

Kevin, Randy, and some of them NXT cats looking at Cawdy in the back like :martin:

He referenced the reaction in AEW, but didn't mention how stale of a character he became after dropping the TNT Title to Darby. He had no sense of direction and was off in his own universe compared to everything else happening in the company.

Given the tone of this interview, he might fukk around and actually say the line I posted in that "other company held me back" thread

WOAT “the other company held me back” promos and vignettes | Sports, Hip Hop & Piff - The Coli

Either way, his paycheck is probably a lot bigger so good that he got the bag.

Supposedly they’re giving him a live mic on raw so let’s see if he really falls on his face like you AEW marks claim.

Who is saying he's going to fall flat on his face? He has years of experience cutting live wrestling promos, it's not like he's Miz in 2005 or whenever the hell he cut that live Divas Search promo.

Alright so cats talking about Cody looked like a bigger deal last night than he ever did in AEW, and whether that’s true or not (leaning towards not so true cause it was literally the same entrance), he’s not getting that type of entrance or reaction without his AEW run, it wasn’t like he was wrestling in OVW for 6 years and decided to come back, fans know how big of a deal this Cody Rhodes is. Contrary to popular belief, fans watch both WWE and AEW.

I would add to that, WWE's own wrestlers watch AEW and vice versa.

At this point, it's a respect for the business thing.
