All they trying to do by having TK & the AEW twitter tweet about it is show the people how much they care about storytelling, and how far they would go to convince the fans.

Given his outside endeavors, the Cardona path might be his best option if he wants that creative freedom and get paid.

If he does return to the WWE then it shouldn't surprise anyone. Cody's main goal since leaving the WWE was to prove to Vince & HHH that he could be a main event player, and he probably sees a HHH/Steph vs Cody/Brandy feud on the horizon. Or because he's so dramatic, this could all be some big work.

With Triple H just having heart surgery a few months ago, I think he's done as an in-ring performer.

Cody going back to WWE was inevitable; he talked about them and HHH like a spurned ex, waiting to get back together again.

I really hope all this is true, because Cody will never be welcome back in AEW, he spat in their face after all the creative freedom and pyro his bytch ass got.

Even if people consistently complained that Cody was the worst part of the show, interjecting himself into feuds he didn’t need to be in, beating guys he should’ve never beaten, and constantly cutting rah rah super patriot promos despite always coming off as a heel?

IMO he was the most likely to go back given his extensive time there and familiarity with their style in the ring.

That's a good point. All the shots at WWE were like an ex who still had feelings. Now that WWE's interested again, he might feel like he could get the respect he always wanted. The money's probably great too. If he can get millions from WWE, more power to him.

Cody booked himself in a corner in AEW. He disqualified himself from ever being in a world title feud in his first year. The fans started turning on him after his cringe promos and he refuses to turn heel. He already put over Darby, MJF, and Sammy. He served his purpose.

There's a lot of good free agents out there. Cody and Brandi's salary could be used to sign some great talent.
