Got to be a work…….probably. Could easily see him coming back at the end of the ppv and attack Hangman and go for the title. He can say the “whole not fighting for the title” was only valid on the last contract. If he goes back to WWE, he’ll be treated like John Morrison more than being treated like Drew McIntyre. The return of Dashing or Stardust. Plus he has season 2 of his reality show, he’s not going anywhere. Probably see him in Impact, NWA, or NJPW though to sell the story

I'm not even mad at Cody for this. He has enough sense to know that you need storylines and character work in this business. He may be annoying at times, but he's the only high level one in the company that understood that.

That straight up indy workrate wrestling gets old real fast If that's all you have to offer That company ain't growing beyond where they are with how they move. Say what you wanna say about the man, but he made himself a star. Might as well get that paper while it's there :yeshrug:
I’ll give him props for making himself a star but [if this isn’t a work, which would be awful], he easily became the worst part of the show and it would more than benefit AEW for him and Brandi to be out of there. They were cancers on screen and them not being there (ideally) would open up a lot of time for other people.

:ahh:

Josh Alexander just left Impact on some 'couldn't agree to terms' too and he was in line for the championship :ld:

That’s strange, he going to need to do a tell all interviews to explain this. AEW basically gave him keys to the company. He had two shows, multiple times champion and had creative control. What more could you want as a wrestler? Is WWE offering him a show in return? Does he not remember stardust lol

I can see him wanting more money and a part time schedule but even then that’s crazy.

I wonder if he was lowkey mad at the booing and felt like a WWE audience would never boo him. :patrice:That’s some good shyt but you never know in these times

So Cal
Just out off the blue is why I'm skeptical.

:patrice: No reports of an expiring contract or anything?

*:hubie: I'm wrong, has been reports.

Yep. But you say that and ppl think you hating on AEW. No........................I just like promos and storylines with my shyt and tbh I like a good promo/storyline more than wresling. It's why i was excited for Bray coming. nikka was legit with the promos/story. But a shytload of AEW ppl were like "No, he trash in the ring" :gucci:
That's really how you get people. When it came out that that is why the EVPs were fighting I was like damn. That means we never gonna get top level storylines. Not having good storylines and shyt is also how you get shyt like a bunch of wrestlers spinning their wheels. PnP/HFO/Dante/Lio/Hobbes and many others just ...................there.

HHH: "So... about you hammering my throne..."

Cody: "It was a joke..."

HHH: "And the sledgehammer..."

Cody: "I was just..."

HHH: "And teasing the pedigree..."

Cody: "Please, Paul..."

HHH: "Just shut up and put on the Stardust suit"

Cody: "But Paul, you are in your home and Vince told me you have no say on this matter. Hell, the old man told me he hasn't spoken to you in 2 months".

HHH: ...."hangs up".

But if he's gone for real, I could see it be because of a money thing. I'm assuming CM Punk makes the most and Cody wanted something equal or better and Tony said no. He also sees what Kevin Owens just signed for at WWE and probably thinks he's at that level or better and thinks that offer (or similar) could be made to him :yeshrug:
