yeah I read some tweets that people were disappointed he didn't come back as Cody Rhodes. I waswhy would he do that?
1. he is VERY good as Stardust
2. him changing his gimmick and becoming a babyface because his father died, would be exploiting his death
3. I think Cody would know best in this situation
4. people are stupid
I was tired of the Stardust character and thought it was stale before Dusty died. There's really no point of STARDUST without either teaming or feuding with Goldust. It's completely stupid and lame otherwise.
Cody is a top tier talent that's being buried in the mid-card for some reason. He was white hot whenever he was "fired" for stepping to the Authority before he left to get married. This was around the time he was feuding with Sandow over MITB. He came back to team with Goldust when he came back from his honeymoon, and he's been stale ever since.
He's absolutely right. I never got why people want him to return as Cody because Dusty passed, especially to pay tribute to Dusty. We all love Dusty but it would be exploited his death and nobody should want that.

Not a major Stardust fan, but hes great with the character. Unless he's gonna get a real push (would make a great IC champ) there's no need to rush him to return to Cody Rhodes right now.

Dude is rhe most creative fella on the roster...and he tronkles comic book influence and video game references his whole career it only makes sense he gets to do some legit crossover media woth rhe atar of arrow
Plus he could easily go back to cody rhodes whenever he wants

what does any of this have to do with what CODY wants to do
I'm just saying, he shouldn't act surprised if people are telling him to go back to Cody Rhodes and ditch Stardust. It's not because of his father dying. It's because the gimmick sucks.
ah. well disagree. the character he portrays is excellent, and could have multiple layers of depth if those in charge gave him a serious push.

Because they aren't feeling the Stardust character and want to see him get a pity push while working a Dusty Rhodes tribute gimmick.
He couldn't draw heat last night. The crowd was happy to see him but very hesitant to boo him (for obvious reasons), so outside of a couple of "Cody! Cody!" chants and a few oohs and ahhs for 2 of Neville's spots, the match was a vacuum of sound from the crowd. Japanese levels of silence.
Cody Rhodes is old school, his father would've told him don't stop. Cody and Arrow have probably a piff SummerSlam thing planned, why go back to Cody?

my favorite incarnation of cody is when he had the doom mask, but stardust could be a serious character if he was written into more serious storylines imo. think mr. sinister/joker/riddler
