my favorite incarnation of cody is when he had the doom mask, but stardust could be a serious character if he was written into more serious storylines imo. think mr. sinister/joker/riddler
its so clear the POTENTIAL is there, but man the powers that be fail so many talented guys in that area.

Stardust was a meaningless jobber for months before dusty passed and really was just a weak rip off living off his brothers shine

People aren't hating on him for not wanting to exploit his fathers death(thou wwe has exploited it greatly already)

Fans are just sad that he's still gonna be a joke character even thou he has such more potential just being himself

I'm sure most thought after dusty passed he would get some kinda big return speech or storyline

Instead same old shyt where he's gonna be jobbing opening matches again

There not mad at him there mad at WWE

His wife sounds like a bytch thou :mjlol:

i think it's a tough spot cause some want to see cody come out as himself and thank everyone for the support to see that hes good but then you know its a catch 22 cause you dont wanna bring in your fathers death just to get over.

hell when my mother passed, i wasn't the same person for the longest time. I Feel both Cody's and Dustin's Pain and struggle:to:

Stardust is a shytty character and no one wants to boo him. Being in the low card with no story lines, no one is gonna boo him. Coming out as Cody Rhodes when he was Cody Rhodes all those years wouldn't exactly be exploitation. If he was selling 'DR' arm bands and got the fans to chant Dusty during the match to hulk him up, now we talking

stardust, a bootleg Goldust, is ultimately wack, but he will get some sympathy pops because of dusty's death

Cody can go back to being Cody whenever he wants. Whatever he's got planned right now with the Arrow will probably lead to Cody being himself again anyway :yeshrug:

His wife also posted an excellent blog post about last night:

I like Garth Brooks, I’ve paid money to see him live, hear his music. But I would never dare say to Mr. Brooks “take a picture with me because I pay your bills”.

so she's a fan of Garth Brooks eh? :mjpls:

I love the Stardust character, it reminds me of Mankind circa 1996

You dudes need to expand your horizons.

Stardust character is basically "Look at me! I'm weird just like you, Dustin!" That's the depth of his character. At least "Mick Foley was turned down by WWE for 10 years and wasn't signed until he was broken down" angst was added to the character. What can you add to Stardust?

Can you really get away with a Mr. Sinister character? A guy that manipulates everyone to get the result he needs? They wouldn't let that fly all year:laugh: Too many top faces they like to protect...

That's entirely on creative (if you need another example just look at where Sandow is now). The Stardust gimmick definitely won't be around for years, but they were building up to the confrontation against the guy from Arrow at Summerslam, and that's the plan they've decided to stick to. Once the 'real' superhero defeats him, I'm almost certain he'll retire the character.

Normally I would agree but I was in the arena when Stardust and Goldust fought. No heat. Not even a little bit. AND the match was garbage which is a real shame cause both can go.
