Yea basically she’s on a major. She should’ve made her own label on a indie or Benzino should’ve guided her.

She will probably make more money this way, she’s gets the label push exposure and can use that to charge bigger booking fees, get commercials and endorsements be booked at festivals and so on. Independent is not the route for everybody there is a lot of benefits to signing for a major, people have been too focused on pushing the narrative that being independent is the best route all the time, the same way they push the narrative that being an owner is also the best route.

Yet I would rather have shares of 5-10 % billionaire company than be the majority or sole owner of a company that only generates 100k a year.

She’s gonna be a household name with a major. She’s everywhere right now which is what major labels do is market their artists everywhere. But as with any artists on a major, she has a shelf life and I don’t know for how long.

I listened to every song in the OP, and it’s straight basura. All of it.
:unimpressed:

She’s attractive and seems lively, but the music is doo doo. She’d be better off taking the Teyana Taylor route. Quit music, focus on other forms of entertainment/media, and get wifed by a Baller to “live happily ever after”.

You want to know why? She's signed to Republic Records. What is Republic Records?

"Republic Records is an American record label owned by Universal Music Group (UMG)."

Make My Day samples Pump Up The Jam, which was released on SBK Records. What is SBK Records?

"SBK Records was a record label, owned by Universal Music Group, that is currently part of the Capitol Music Group, where it is in hibernation."

Man's World samples It's A Man's World, which was released on a now-defunct label that was then sold to Polydor Records. What is Polydor Records?

"Polydor Records is a German-British record label that operates as part of Universal Music Group."

My Body interpolates/samples It's My Party, which was released on Mercury Records. What is Mercury Records?

"Mercury Records is an American record label owned by Universal Music Group."

The only track that isn't sampled from the UMG library is Make My Day, which is Sony (Hall And Oates). Old music is being streamed more than new music. Catalogs are being sold for hundreds of millions of dollars. Sure SHE won't get paid shyt, but the streams this album generates will be eaten up by the samples. The label is essentially paying itself.
