More than anything you can still kind of squeeze 4 in a 645 convertible, can't really do it in a Corvette. :manny: But yeah breh, my thoughts exactly, I should have a paid off penthouse before buying such a car. Maybe a Shelby Mustang? I don't know, I was thinking European.

Mustang is a classic that will always get respect....nice warm weather car. Maybe a used BMW M3, Audi Cabriolet or Lexus SC? For the money you have, you could get a newer model that still stands out from the crowd.

Peace

I wouldn't say its a good or bad thing as long as you have the money and the lifestyle to actually go along with such a purchase. Personally, I wouldn't buy a Bentley-type of car until my mortgage was paid off, all my debt is paid off, I already have a nice DD and I'm sitting on some serious investments/money to the point where I'm good no matter what happens.

To me, buying a Bentley says more about what you have besides the car than the car itself. Same thing with other cars. You ever see how dumb someone looks when they have a brand new BMW or Audi or Benz but live in a studio apartment or even a small one bedroom? Well, the line goes up that much higher when we're talking about a Bentley. If you're driving a Bentley, then you need to have a nice place and nice money to go along with it or people are going to be taking props instead of giving them...as they should.

Why not get something like a Corvette or classic sports car for cash?

Peace
You ain't making no sense with certain things. So if people have a Bentley you have to be in the mansion even if you are a single childless guy? This is exactly the lunacy I'm talking about. fukk them haters where they bentley at lol. Most people that are doing better aren't even going to worry about you. Its usually those that aren't doing what you doing hating wasting their breath to worry about you. IMO as long as the place not in the hood you can have a 1 bedroom or a studio depending on your personal situation. My boy lives downtown Philly in a 1 bedroom but has an Audi A7 so people clowning on him too. See how silly that looks. Now if dude was deep in the hood ok but you don't need more than a respectable spot to have a car like this but lets be real how many cats really doing Bentleys living in the hood?

The thing breh to people with money it's ass backwards to have a Bentley and not have a net worth of 10Ms or higher. The owner of the building where I rent my warehouse paid for it in cash (over 2Ms), and he drives a f*cking minivan. So you can imagine the :smugfavre: look if I roll up in a GT to meet with a guy who obviously has more cash than I do. :manny: It's just that it's such a rare opportunity, I thought I would have to wait until my 40s to get it, and spend at least $150K.

I'm lookin' at coppin' a ride for the summer, been looking at around the 25K-30K mark, I can pick up a 645 convertible. By random chance, a friend of mine told me he was looking to sell his '05 Bentley GT, at about $50K. I was like :wtf: how in the f*ck are Bentleys that cheap? Been checking online and it seems that's about the going rate. So I'm basically thinking about buying the 645 cash vs financing the GT. I still got time as I won't really need a summer car before April, just lookin' to get an opinion as I personally feel it's kind of frontin' to be drivin' a Bentley and not be getting Michael Vick money. Let me know what y'all think, and if there are any other suggestions for a summer ride in the 20-30K range, let me know.

hell no..these cars are not daily drivers like other cars, usually people with these type of cars have 2nd and 3rd cars...also cost for a simple oil change is ridiculous...much less a service, dont put yourself back for p*ssy...Is the crib paid off for? if not put that cash into that instead of a car that depreciated from almost 200k to 50k

This is an over exaggeration like a mug about rich cats. Maybe them millionaire next door types but Ive been around dudes in my family and their friends/family with big millions and trust and believe they don't all think like that at all. I don't even know why people pump this like most cats are millionaires/billionaires pushing Toyota camrys its not true. If that was the case luxury brands would die out because the local d boy, stunter, can't afford all that shyt to make these luxury brands that much money.

Playa, I understand your point, but let's be real here. If you driving a Bentley and you live in a studio or a 1 bedroom apartment, then that some n#gga sh#t and you know it to be so. Now, I know this may be personal to you because your homie lives like this and, from the sounds of it, maybe you do too. But that does NOT change the fact that that's some n#gga rich type lifestyle where your car costs more than your living space.

What's even funnier is the people that can afford Bentleys and such don't usually get these items until they've reached a point way beyond an apartment or even a standard house. Usually these people get this type of item as a reward for themselves for achieving certain goals over YEARS of hard work and sacrifice. What goal has one achieved by getting a 1 bedroom apartment? Even if it is in Center City?

So, in your mind, its ok to buy a Bentley (extraordinary) while your living arrangement is basic (ordinary)? Well, I doubt many people who are independently wealthy followed that path to financial success, but I know more than a few people with repos, non-existent credit and no savings who have.

Peace

I think you speak from the perspective of somebody that doesn't really know people with real money. Well I know for a fact did you just say my peoples car cost more than his spot? lol yall cats are funny. I always say that when people go with the people only buy a certain car when they got x amount of money. I'm not saying people don't do it like that but its alot of people with loooong bread who do it like I said too. I didn't know living downtown of a major city was basic though but thanks for telling me. The point of having a 1 bedroom is thats the amount of space he needs. Why get a 2/3 br just so haters can not say you broke? fukk em If I'm living downtown in any major city its nothing nobody IRL and definitely on the coli could tell me about myself. So yes you are right in that's how people I know live but if that is what makes them ****** rich when I know for a fact they doing their thing financially so be it. Seriously stop just regurgitating shyt y'all heard millionaires next door say. It works but if you work hard you can definitely play hard.

Yeah, that was made me a bit embarrassed to consider it. I know people way richer than me who drive WAY cheaper sh*t. It would almost be a joke to have a better car than the guy I pay rent to. I also though about buying a lower end used car, like around $10K, and buying some real estate cash, but the last time I bought a car was 2009 (I copped a nice SUV :banderas:) and wanted to upgrade. Thanks for the grounded advice breh.

I feel you breh. A 1BR downtown doesn't mean you ain't ballin'. But I remember laughing at Maino and Juelz because them nikkaz copped Bentleys and lived in normal houses. So I felt like a hypocrite now if I do the same thing. Maybe I should say f*ck what people think, :manny: I appreciate your advice too breh, but I think I'm gonna say f*ck the bentley for now, maybe hold off onto my mid 30s and stack a few more chips. :obama: Appreciate all of y'all for the advice, I just needed to get some reassurance I was doing the right thing by passing on it, I was getting visions of ridin' around like:

@blackzeus do you fam. If I never give any advice on here that people listen too please listen to this fukk these haters and they garbage man. They will always give out the negative of what you should do then you achieve one goal it'll be some other obstacles they want you to climb over. Its never ending believe it just like you see people telling Jay and Diddy what to do with their bread. You get a mansion as a single dude even if you millions why get that so and so usually white person living in the project but he worth billions. FOH like thats the norm lol. If the Bentley ain't for you now fukk it just don't let people who's dream consist of having a loaded charger and taking a trip to Miami once a year as balling dudes stop you from dreaming and trying to do it big period.

I agree mane. Me, being a "single" (relatively :youngsabo:) guy in his mid 20s. I don't need a huge home, I'm good with my comfortable, large one bedroom. I got plenty of space for everything I need. So why can't I drive a luxury car if I can afford it. I think Id look a lot more stupid pulling up to a huge mansion in a Civic. Than driving a luxury car with a one bedroom #

The is hood rich, hood flossing, ain't never had nothing and will never have nothing and won't be able to pass down wealth to future generations type thinking.

Alot of people like to fake it til they make it. While there is nothing wrong with driving a Bentley, what does your financial portfolio look like? Dude may have liquid cash right now, but he could invest half of that and flip to double by the end of this year or next year if he knew how to invest correctly.

People like to look good now and struggle later.

I don't know dude's financial situation to warrant buying a Bentley, but his head is obviously not in the right place if he is debating on buying it. His money could be better spent elsewhere. Do you want to look good now and struggle later or let your coins make money for you by investing?

I honestly hear what you and others are saying but I truly think most people are hating when they say stuff like this. I'm so used to folks being negative esp online I just take as such when I know its not always like that. Making money and looking good aren't mutually exclusive but if you notice when it comes to us oftentimes it seems like that's how we make it seem. You tryhng to get a Bentley where your mansion, private jet, stock portfolio, generational wealth, etc like most asking got any of that shyt themselves. Unless a person say they are struggling and can't really afford it I try to assume they can since I don't know cats personally so that's why I don't really feel the need to be Suzie Orman on dudes. A car that cost 60k will not ruin you unless you are way out of your financial budget realm.
