Clearing shots off rim isn't even debatable. The thing I was debating with @CHICAGO is whether you clear airballs/turnovers.

Not if you get a steal a lot of the times youll already be behind the defense, clearing it out signifies a change of possession like getting a defensive board and going into your half court set....I'll be damn if I clear out a shot that doesn't hit rim,a steal, or block
