im not talking about running the streets doing dirt.

im asking how many of you go outside? how many of you experience hip-hop from beyond your laptop?

dudes basically answered the question indirectly anyway, I see.
The farther you go in academia, fewer and fewer people actually listen to hip-hop. Other than talking about shyt with friends I grew up with (where everybody listened to the shyt) and the few people I met in college and law school who are into the shyt, and younger family members who are into the shyt (who look to me as some sort of a guru), I experience hip-hop online. I don't go to concerts anymore b/c I'm old married and have a kid. Same thing with clubs.

What about you though Wack? I know you're on here a lot...

whenever I'm in the skreets someone asks me what my top 32 singles from the 3rd quarter of 1997 were :troll:
I notice how you always go out of your way to show your true colors in threads like these.

I don't understand why you insist on putting your head on a swivel.

I tapered off on it when I started working nights.

but yea: parties, shows, showcases, events. now im milking the line-dance crowd. on the low, that's the easiest money in that avenue unless youre some big-time promoter. people sleep on this, which is why that's the only thing that ive promoted on my own.

Since a teen I was always involved in the local scene, street cyphers, underground battles, battle raps, local gigs etc. Nowadays not as much as I used too (my city got fukked up by an earthquake so the live scene kind of died off, plus I'm 26 and married), but I always try to go to gigs. I saw K Dot at the end of last year in a smallish venue just after GKMC dropped, shyt was crazy, the energy was next level, was definitely something special.
