Ah if you dont know any OOP it can be a pain at first.

Even though im working on a game( prototype is not even done yet ) Id be down.

What language?

what type of program did you guys have in mind?

we could host the project in Git repo servers or MS codeplex site.

I'll drop some of ideas in a little bit. Git or codeplex is cool with me.

We should create an app! :gladbron:

What type of app you interest in?

This is what I think of open source development... :piss:

It's like this. I'm going to get paid if I'm going to put in time and effort.

Open source is for simps. Would you pay a woman $1,000 and fix her car for 20 hours in the rain... just for her to end up dating another dude who gave her $0 and spent 0 hours working on her car? That's what open source is like.

I feel you. The thing is though, with the way cats can shop photos, create gifs and everything else on here, you can't tell me folks don't have some ideas rumbling around. The thing about opensource is, anybody that contribute gets credit. I figure we create something small, and if that goes well, we grow it into something big :manny:. Besides, with sites like Git, I think we can close our project to only where we can view them, @DataHawk can maybe confirm this.

Alot of companies started from open source software. Not only that its good for ppl looking to learn and experience to put on your resume.

Yeah, I know. But some of these open source projects are huge. Huge like Microsoft and Apple for-profit projects.

Im just getting familiar. shyts been pretty easy since I'm used to structs and object arrays. I just don't know the stuff I wanna know by heart.

Any oop'ing I do is horribly inefficient, but I'm getting better every day

Well if we want to do something mobile, a new version of MonoTouch just came out today. They just released a free version with an app size limit. You can target iOS/android using C#.

I just have to find out what the app size limit is.
