Exactly. Some are easy solutions. Miggt just need a tranny tune up and all fixed

What does it do when put on reverse ?

It’ll shift into reverse, when I hit the gas it’ll jerk like it’s abiut to move but won’t...I even put it in neutral and tried to push it back and it wouldn’t move

Why wont it go in reverse??? you better check your transmission.... is the emergency brakes stuck or something? you missing a gear??? You get the shifter checked similar shyt happened with my old charger one time...

Gear shifter works, I can hear the gears change when I put it in drive but not reverse

What car do you have ? Is the shifter loose? If so, the shifter bar has a break. You need to visualize the whole co.partment. just take it apart. The hook and the ring may have broken. Thats very common in japanese cars but easy to repair. The ring costs about 5$ but buy the grease as well.

Could be the reverse gear internally be broke???...

Might be something small like a solenoid or pressure switch within your trans, wouldn’t go as far as saying your trans is blown out. Take it to a independent trans shop(not Midas, Firestone,Pep boys)
