This exactly why I said in the other thread that this is not the culture to get married in, and I say this as someone due to get married.
It was generally understood that marriage was for business for first, prior to the Boomer generation. Marriage was to keep money in wealthy circles and for women to marry upwards.
And now you have these birds thinking it’s all about love and happiness. And that’s why you see lower marriage rates and higher divorce rates.
Yes, there are other factors to consider as well, but once the wedding is over, they forget that marriage is something you have to work at, LIKE A JOB! Now it isn’t as fun as they thought it was huh?
There’s never consistent bliss, lust or happiness. There will be times you can’t stand your other half, where you’ll feel upset or question your marriage but you’re supposed to work at it.
