The one thing I will agree on is the skill sometimes isn’t up to par with the increase.

My barber is pretty good and I over pay him because I hook You up you hook me up .

I’ll randomly call hi if I leave work early or I have an event and just need a quick shape up . He gets me in there quick more times than none.

another element to it is the generational gap growing bigger because certain negroes not passing down the game.

The late boomers and older gen-Xers brought alot of wisdom and integrity to the Barbershop. They commanded respect and wasnt allowing certain types of fukkery into their space. Generally speaking...

Hateto say this, but a lot of it is caused by the "real nikka" mentality. Distractions, pointless convos about BS, and no disciplined schedule make a lot of these younger barbers into divas of their own.

Yea I got a curly fro with a slight fade . I cut my locs off a couple years ago .

Can’t do the mid fade it’s nice but I’m not there yet .

Haven't been to the barber in over 2 years, learned how to cut my hair and add the hair fibers decently during the pandemic. It's going anyways, I was blowing money for a cut that wasn't even sharp like that anymore thanks to a receding hairline. I was already lining up my beard professionally for years.

I don't want to know what the prices are nowadays. I was paying $35 tip included to my barber of 10 years.

The barbershop that I go to raised the price by $5 during the pandemic. Then last week when I went in my barber said that he raised the price by another $5.

On one hand, I can kind of understand it because their prices were really low for a long time and it makes sense that they have to raise the price to get by. But on the other hand I’m cheap as hell and I don’t want to pay $25 plus a tip every two or three weeks lol.

This barber is really fast though and the cuts always look good. But if the price goes up one more time then I guess I’ll try to cut my own hair

I finally have a great barber. He has his own suite and I usually get the first appointment of the day(7a.m). He’s never late and has never given me any problems.

Sounds like my old barber in buckhead off north ave. shyt was sweet until he found out I let his cousin cut my hair in a pinch once. nikka acted like I had an affair & started acting like a lil beach.

I came late for my appointment once after that… then this dude got on his high value man shyt & told me to respect his time n shyt.

Like dude, it was 7 minutes. Calm yo big elbow ass down.

So when I tried to book again, he canceled it with a comment saying “I don’t need the money.”.

I sent dude the Emoji and told him his cousin’s hands are way more gifted.

He threatened me & I blocked him. lol
