Yeah I agree with the message but y'all need to chill with the conspiracy theories. Did you honestly think people weren't replying to the thread because they didn't want to acknowledge the truth? I was going to reply first a few hours ago, but my ride show up before I could since the post was a full(50 posts) page long and backwards.

It's annoying when people make serious topic threads and passive aggressively try to shame people into to posting. It's like y'all don't really care about the topic and you just want as many people to see your righteous indignation as possible.

But yeah, I agree with what he said.

LMAO same thing I was thinking.

Watch these Coli nikkas avoid this shyt like the plague. They don't want to hear this type of thing....

like because we got derrick rose and jay z and russell simmons collectively I guess we supposed to be doing good...naw.

I'm so sick and tired of black people pigeonholing themselves in sports and entertainment. I guess cause everyone else only sees us as good for our strength and our musicality we should too...fukk that.

Y'all know true black intellectualism is feared so some of these nikkas is way too happy to play dumb for massa and encourage hise peers to walk off the same bridge with him as long as he can have some instagram mixed bishes, some alexander wang and y-3, and a bugatti to wake up in after hitting u the jumpoffs place.

Not knowing that the future of this country (and the world) is being written WITHOUT us in mind. Its already happening around y'all. You see them skyscrapers they be putting up...them new condos...them new businesses...they put those up without you in mind. In fact, when I walk around my hood in brooklyn and I see these buildings going up I feel like it's the higher ups subliminally telling me "thanks for all your contributions and making Brooklyn look cool with your savagely dope music and surprisingly alluring yet backwards ghetto culture you created. We no longer need you to be here so all you n!ggers and spics can get the f*ck out to make way for the whitebread suburban millenial generation who will take your place and see you as a cute little footnote in their lives".

How many tims must we talk about problems and not solutions? I'm sick and tired of this sh!t. I'm trying to be an owner. I'm trying to help black people out...I don't give a f*ck what these cacs, asians, and spanish folk who just see us as accessories to their lifestyles think..at the end of the day, I only give a f*ck about other black people in this country and that's it. I want to see black folks progressing in this f*cked up country that never gave us a fair shot. I'm sick and tired of having to depend on others for my future in this world when it's obvious they don't give a f*ck about me and only want to use me as a "cool prop" or as a person to buy drugs from and or some token and that's it.

When will the rest of these black folk wake the f*ck up to this? I don't know...they too busy turning up smoking loud sippin lean and the white man who's just looking for credibility and a come up needs black faces to make money off of is more than happy to use them to achiever their goals...they'll fall into the same trap and fall of that same f*cking cliff because they'd rather be cool and powerless.

End rant.
i wish i could rep you

Mayweather is a cash cow because of Haymond and Golden Boy. But can you say a Golden Boy and Haymond made a Mayweather?

They can only groom you, but as a star, you have to be.

If Jimmy made 50, made Jay, made Diddy, why hasn't there arisen another of the same?

By calling them front men you are downplaying their own work.

Matter fact, for the sake of argument lets call them front men, willingly submitting to the whims of a corporate Jew.

Papoose once stood on a multi-million dollar offer but said "my talent is something these record companies can't steal". Where is papoose today?

Meanwhile breh basically called Diddy a c00n. But where is Diddy today? Diddy today if he wills can make a power move in this industry.

You tell me what was the better path?

It's easy to sit on some militant high ground, but bottom line is a lot of what these dudes say just sound good. But can produce nothing in real life.
He called them out not for what they did only ... but because of how they portrayed what they did as... shyt was a personal victory.. not a victory for black people.. Also about the damage that it caused..

I agree with what you said about him saying it because he has nothing to lose.. he even admitted it in one of his tweets, although the tweet was not posted here.
he saidd "I'm giving it up raw and for free because no one would pay me to publish this." followed by "what is he trying to do wake the dead?yes."

Yes it is easy to stand on some militant high ground... but hes right... doesn't matter what his reasons are, the jewels are there. He dropped a lot of gems. Yeah most of all this information is recycled, but it came from someone who could reach alot of people via twitter.

Also if you wanna affect change you don't usually drop this type of info and show your hand unless you're in a very strong position... he must not give a flying fukk because this is akin to career suicide.

I see you mentioned 50... but even 50 tried to get out of the stranglehold of Iovine...got frustrated and vented out loud only for Iovine to spank him.

Even Mayweather was looking for a way out and 50 tried to help.... only to have Mayweather have his doubts and say fukk 50.

cool thread ... Sc00n says some interesting stuff, but I think his own anger and rejection clouds his thinking at times too. Race def plays a lot into the problems he's complaining about, but that's just one layer of the onion so to speak. Anyone who's a student of history knows there's a lot of things going on at any moment that will be damn near impossible to detect yet will contribute to how things turn out, then when the story is told years later people realize that in addition to what they thought was going on, there was also a whole separate game being played too.

So point is, Curtis can't get his shyt funded, and his observations are insightful, but I tend to think there's more to his particular stories, just like there is more to every story.

I think he made some good points but others I thought were weak
and conspiratorially minded, basically in some of those
tweets he comes off as a highly articulate professor griff.

:mjpls:
I must've made him feel some type of way cause he replied
to a few of my tweets.

Yep, although he is spitting that real, it could be just a post hoc fallacy. A lot of shyt is circumstantial and sometimes it plays into the hands of the bigger players. A lot has to do with race, a lot more has to do with money.

I been trying to tell nikkas bout this, but per usual, these lack of foresight having-ass negroes aint tryna here it.

The only thing I didn't like about Ye's rants was that he came off as a spoiled brat but everything the man was saying was correct. MFers just couldn't see below the surface .
and the worst part about it was that dudes where calling Ye a kewn while he was saying this. It's like we've been programmed to tear each other down when someone who is part of the community is trying to tell us the truth or do something significant

I dont get your argument, Kanye wanted white fashion houses to sponsor his own line, no?

Isnt that basically the same things these rappers are doing? Being fronted a lil money to make them (the real bosses) alot of money.

y'all needed to read a million tweets to learn that excessive corporatism was bad and especially when aimed at poorer demographics?

His main gripe was the fact that he needed to go through someone else to get something started. And I see his point and its true.

The Deep State

Designer Tom Ford recently stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live, and it made for a very interesting segment. Besides discussing his career as a film director, Ford talked about how he first heard about Jay Z's "Tom Ford" song off Magna Carta Holy Grail. And what he said about it could not be made up.

"Well I know him and he emailed me and said 'I'm writing a song called Tom Ford,'" Ford said. "I didn't know what to expect, but I trust him. He's a good guy. Then I heard the song; I had to go on rap translator to sort of understand what it meant." Laugh out loud.

In the end, after hitting up Rap Genius or something, he thought the message of the song was actually positive. "He doesn't do drugs, he wears Tom Ford," the designer said. "That's how he gets his high. Who doesn't like that?"

Kimmel then proceeded to show Ford a photo of Jay Z on tour wearing a black T-shirt with "Tom Ford" and number 61 on the back. When asked what he thought, Ford said "this is a counterfeit Tom Ford design." But instead of filing a lawsuit or being bothered by it, Ford knocked off the knockoff because "C'mon, Jay Z's wearing it," as he said.

Dude went in.

@Marvel has been making this point for a while... how black people in the industry always have a white person that they are answering to, no matter how rich they are.

Yep...They get positive reinforcement from their white massas that control them. I've been saying that Chief Keef was a hired agent to push the prison industry in Chicago and nationwide. I also already stated that some of the media coverage was exaggerated too. But the media can make it seem like black Chicago is in an all out war. Some of the violence was also instigated through the music. He doesn't realize he is being used by massa who is giving him the approval. The negative portrayal of black people through the media is used to destroy black people at all levels. I've been telling people that these these prison companies are being traded in the stock market and are owned by people in government, media, etc. Then people wonder why some of go in on the white supremacist system.
