@Gil Scott-Heroin

Wristflaps is a locker room cancer everywhere he's been, while Randle has emerged as an emotional leader

Coreweakness might be proficient off ball but his ego means he won't accept anything less than being the #1 option

He's too narrow and soft to defend PFs and Cs effectively in the post and some combination of ego and frailty makes him avoid boxing out on rebounds

Perhaps you have some advanced stat* that suggests the Latvian Loser is a better defender than Randle but having watched both last season my eye test concluded Randle is better on D by a country mile

And I'm not sure how you can conclude Wristflaps contributes more to winning basketball when he never made the playoffs until he went to a team where he got carried by a better player

And then he got ejected for homotionality in his first game :mjlol:

* Edit - Lemme find out that the 2.6 Defensive Win Shares Randle posted in his last year on the Lakers, when he was widely considered a bust, is nearly as good as Wristflaps career high in DWS. Let alone Randle 4.3 DWS last year which alone ties Coreweakness total WS for the season.

If you seriously believe this, then there's nothing more to say, cause we're living in different realities.

Julius can't function without the ball in his hands, and when he does have the ball, if it isn't an easy scoring opportunity, it results in him typically making the wrong decision. Even with KP's flaws, which have been magnified with all his injuries, he's an effective player even when he doesn't have control over when he gets the ball.

On the defensive end, which particularly matters with big men, it's not even remotely close.

I'm taking the guy who probably isn't going to reach his ceiling, and will have the perception of being a 'waste of talent', indefinitely, but for damn sure will now and forever contribute more to winning basketball than Julius ever will.

:hubie:
Like @Dorian Breh said KP has major attitude problems. Attitude combined with being injury prone are his two biggest weaknesses.

In theory KP should be a great off the ball player but it obviously wasn't working with Luka, not because of KP's skillset, but because of him pouting that he's not the main guy. But when he was in NY and they traded Melo, KP was crying because he had to take on all responsibilities of being the star player. He wants to have it both ways but is yet to prove he can do either.

As far as defense goes KP looked like he lost all his footspeed last year, unless that was injury related he looks like he's done being able to guard perimeter players :hubie: And loss of footspeed is compounded by the fact that he still refuses to play center. It's 2021 and Mavs had to play Boban and KP together :gucci:

Unless he has major attitude adjustment, accepts his role and buys into the new coaching staff it's not looking good for him. Especially if he picks up another injury.

Well show me then

Only thing Flaps does better is blocks as a help defender and this doesn't balance out his deficiencies on ball and as a defensive rebounder
If anyone watched the Knicks this past season and couldn't see that one of the greatest defensive minds in NBA history, scheme and players like Mitch, Noel, Bullock etc covered up for Julius on that end of the floor, then I don't know what to tell them. He has nearly every single trait of a bad defensive player to parlay with his limited wingspan.

The only defensive worth he has is how hard he zones in on rebounds, and really that's only because he's a selfish player who likes to pad his stats.

Randle at 68 mill, 3yrs has become less of a steal every game.

Most definitely have been humbled and I'm not feeling anywhere near as confident as I did about Randle's value as I did before.

That being said, 8 out 10 times, Im choosing Randle with this contract over KP with his balloon contract.

Randle is still more value than KP; and that speaks volumes.
