alot of cities would kill to have a team like the hawks tho.

dope roster which harbored 3 all-star caliber players. one of the most exciting squads and they actually win playoff series'.

i do understand that outdoor sports run the south, especially that sector. but still.

Atlanta don't care about these dudes at all. If you put Lebron or a contender. They will show up.

Yeah, but Philly has a TON of other sports teams. It's like New York or L.A. that have a ton of teams.

Indianapolis has no major league baseball teams or baseball teams.

The Colts and The Pacers should together own that town.

It's vibrant, the cities economy is good (in comparison to the rest of the Midwest) and the sport of basketball is the calling card of the state.

And it's only a little bit "predominately" Black. It's 42 percent Black and 41 percent White.

Let's not pretend it's Detroit or New Orleans.

The Hawks have also been mismanaged (Atlanta Spirit Group) for a long time & were terrible for most of the last decade. They passed on CP3, Deron Williams & Brandon Roy in consecutive drafts for Marvin Williams & Shelden Williams in back to back years. The average ATL fan (who probably isn't from here) has no vested interest in consistently supporting these Hawks b/c their ceiling is the 2nd round. It's multiple factors why the Hawks don't draw well

tru that. but what about the cities that support losing teams for years?

nobody wants to admit that atlanta is just not a basketball town, and the surrounding areas that breed the ticket-buyers probably arent either.

cant compare atlanta to philly. not saying that you were doing this, but others were kind of putting them in the same boat.

Maybe because I'm not from there, but I never felt any racism when I visit. Maybe because I'm from the South, that I didn't think Indianapolis was as racist it is in the South. My Mother worked in Indianapolis for 2 years and she said the white people was cool.

If you think Indianapolis whites are racist, then don't ever move down south.

Indiana's not only a basketball state, but is considered THE basketball state in all of America.

There is no other state that is as associated with the sport of basketball as Indiana.

It's like Florida in football in terms of how popular it is.
