"Blue and yellow is a weird color scheme, how do you expect a fan base to get behind a team like that?"
Has he never heard of the Michigan Wolverines?

"Blue and yellow is a weird color scheme, how do you expect a fan base to get behind a team like that?"

whats the excuse for teams like Detroit, Atlanta, Philly and Washington having poor attendance then??
sure indianapolis is a pretty white city, but those other cities aint. Why aren't all the black "fans" there supporting those teams??
Cacs huh?

While theyres some of that probably can someone explain to me why its ok that black people dont like the nhl because they have nobody to identify with but if white peoople dont like the nba for that reason their card carrying klansmen?
Whast the difference? Just because people want to watch a sport with players they can identify with doesnt automatically make them bigots
Off topic but with race in mind shouldnt hockey be huge in the south and mid west places like Indy ?
but lets be real for a minute.
is it REALLY racist if white ppl don't watch basketball because its majority black?
or is it similar to how alot of blacks don't watch shows like seinfeld and friends because its majority white?
You know it's not that simple
Indiana is a poor ass state they will show up in the playoffs but people don't got money to burn to go watch pacers-raptors games
Reggie miller is the most beloved player in there history last I check he was black
Stop sayin black people can't afford tickets if nikkas can afford Jordan's and Tru religions they can go to a damn game child please
The two nba ive been to I paid 150 for CAvs vs lakers and pistons at lakers at the palace and quicken loan arenas pretty good seats and I drove 2 hours to one and 4 to other
The memories I had for the games > spending 200 plus for some foams

When the NBA started to become more and more dominated by blacks, and with the emergence of the great white hope (Peyton Manning), the white folks in Indianaapolis were looking for reasons to justify them turning their backs on the Pacers.
Let's not forget, they hated Reggie's black guts because they drafted him instead of that white boy.

I can't wait til they team gets stolen from them...and put in one of the blackest cities in america.....throw that shyt in Atlanta for the fuk of it![]()
Um, Detroit just got labeled the most "depressed" city in Amerikkka.
Have you seen it.
Indianapolis on the other hand is considered the only big city in the Midwest (besides Chicago and maybe Minneapolis) that isn't in a steep decline.
It's actually considered a vibrant city with a bright future, unlike Detroit and the rest of the rust belt.
Atlanta is a TERRIBLE sports town for everybody.
And Washington Wizards is just a gay ass name. They should change it back to the Bullets. I could never respect a team called the Wizards. Plus, Washington DC. has become heavily gentrified. A large percent of it's Black population has been ushered out and replaced by White yuppies who could give a fukk about a Wizard.
Black people don't like hockey.
Black people don't pretend to like hockey when Black folks are playing and then as soon as White folks start dominating pretend that we don't like hockey.
No, because if you've learned anything from Fox News is that rednecks hate anything that isn't "American" (i.e. hockey, soccer, universal health care, socialism). You're talking about people who started calling French Fries "Freedom Fries" out of spite.
Naw, they're not our type of humor.
There's a difference.
Indiana is a state that LOVES the sport of basketball.
It is the calling card of the state, yet they pretend to not care about it, when the team is mostly Black and not the kind of "Black" that they're comfortable with.

They burned Reggie Miller's house down.
You do know that right?
And called him every name in the book.
I never respected him after he came back there and continued to play in that environment after that.
Um, I'd rather have shoes I can wear everyday than spend 2 hours somewhere and have to go right back home.
Yeah, memories are great, but having fly gear is even better.

think about what youre saying.
how could they possibly be the 4th team in a predominately black city? black people are into hockey now? we're playing baseball again?
like i said in a previous post, if youre not from the city, you wont understand. yall are looking at numbers, not realizing that most of those numbers come from white folks who dont even live in the city.
the actual city itself is a basketball city and it has one of the richest basketball histories in the country. theres a reason why drexel, the weakest of the city-6 college basketball programs arguably holds more weight than thee premier college football program - which plays in the big east.
now as far as pro teams go, yes the sixers are 2nd to the eagles inside the actual city. but alot of that has to do with the fact that the eagles are almost always in the running for a division title at the very least.....but when an iverson/barkley/erving type player comes to town, theres a reason why they are automatically the face of philly sports.
Your argument is no different than the argument some make about how the Knicks are the heartbeat of NYC sports even though they're not the most popular team.As for the Pacers, I don't know how their ticket situation is (not Stub Hub and all that other stuff, I'm talking about season ticket holders-- which is the most important aspect)* If those STH's aren't coming back yet, that's a problem, and that can impact the attendance big time. Watching other teams' STH situation, your team can get better, but people still might not come back immediately because the fans that were there when it was cheap got their ticket prices jacked up and didn't come back because of it.* I don't know if that applies to the Pacers, but that could be a contributing factor to attendance, heads not renewing and nobody really taking their place.

Nap is racist as fukk bruh. I'm just being real.
Plus, it's a racecar town. Buncha honkies that just wanna go fast. It ain't all because the players are black, it's because them crackas don't like basketball.
If you go all the way south, they support the college. Indianapolis is known for the 500. The people in the city don't follow hoops enough to know what it's like so they just talk out they ass.
If Jesus and his 12 disciples had a team in Indiana, half them honkies wouldn't know it, and the other half would talk about how they aint going to, "watch no ******ball"
Exactly Philly didnt sell out finals games when they had Dr J alot of cities just aren big nba towns
Last time I was in Philly I had this racist cac cab driver that was telling me why he and his peoples don't fukk with the 76ers...It was all about them having some bunny rabbit mascot that he said offended the white population of the city because it had a du-rag on...
You would be suprised the rationalizations people come up with why not to support winning sports teams...
Trust me.. Colin knows exactly what he's talking about here..
"Indiana is #1 is total defense, scoring defense, rebounding, and opp field goal %". How are they lazy?" Bet you the white boy would be there if they some how got Cody Zeller on their team
