Colin Cowherd made a good point. Never trust when a QBs draft value goes up when the season ends and they've stopped playing. Now we have Jaxson Dart.

Its only OTA

We don’t know the exact details or context. He might be trash but a screenshot of a headline isn’t saying much without details.

1. White
2. Tall

This combo been fukking up GMs for 40+ years now

How many elite QBs in the league are even 6'4+ any more. Burrow & Allen.
All the good QBs in the league are like 6’2-6’4 though except Baker and Hurts right? And they are 6’1.

Might of course be selection bias but obviously most people seem to think that it’s beneficial to be far above average height

Going first ≠ being good in the NFL.

But yea, Kyler Muray is one so that means that you have one guy that is average size, doesn't that kind of prove the point :dahell:

Another one was Drew Brees, RW of course

But I mean we can count them on one hand over decades.

Dart has been balling.

We'll see if its Zach Wilson preseason hype or if its for real.
I think Dart is going to be pretty good actually.
East Coast Brock Purdy. Well, with more pressure and hype if he does well early. The NY media is a bytch.

Straight up disrespectful to Brock Purdy.

For Dart, so far so good, and reasons to be hopeful for Giants fan.
Nothing more, nothing less....since he hasn't faced real competition yet

Dart has back to back 10 win seasons at ole miss.
Can make every throw a QB needs to make
Only problem is decision making.
That can be fixed so I can understand why he was drafted high.

The negative QB was Dillion Gabriel I don't see it
Just like I don't buy bo nix and think he will come crashing this year

QB picking isnt a science, its a lucky guess. Smart teams would just use all of their draft capital to draft a bunch of QBS and play them by committee over the span of 2 seasons. Sadly these GMs are dumb and dont understand probability. Which is why they stay on a QB carousel for a decade:respect:

Bonus tip-pick the QBs who played the best, with the least, against the toughest competetion in relation to their talent.

Pretty much every elite QB in history has been between 6'2" and 6'4"

Brady
Montana
Young
Aikman
Marino
Mahomes
Bradshaw
Staubach
Favre
Jackson
McNair
Rodgers

You have outliers on the top end like Cam, Josh and Peyton....and then outliers on the low end like Brees, Russ etc....I get why it's harder for short QBs, but you don't see many top shelf guys at 6'5" and up.

Always wondered if it's because they gravitated to baseball (pitching) and basketball....or if there's a disadvantage to being extra tall in the pocket.

This.

Additionally, supporting cast matters a whole lot in addition to coaching staff, injuries, etc.
