:jbhmm:
  • Who is this "Y'all" you speak of?
  • Quote this "word for literal fukking word" folks are suppose to agree on?
  • What do you assume this "we" is suppose to "UNDERSTAND"?
  • What exactly do you think has been told about myself in the prior quote?

So, whether you like Kaepernick or not… is he wrong? It’s very simple and obtuse to attack the messenger because of real or perceived flaws, but what do nikkas think about what he’s actually trying to say?

Who do you listen to? Who do you look to for opinions on social issues? Are they perfect? Is there anyone on earth who’s entitled to an opinion if they’re not 100% right about everything all the time?

He's not technically wrong, but the examples are poor.

I'm sure you've watched both shows he's talking about.
They weren't changing themselves to appeal to cacs on the show. Hell where there even any cacs on Family Matters?

Steve and Carlton were being themselves, they weren't trying to be safe.

And if the crux of his argument is that white people liking a character = character is less black, then Will Smith on Fresh Prince of Bel Air must be the whitest, safest black breh alive. Cuz he was far more liked than Carlton by white people.

Is there such thing as the safe acceptable negro? sure. But he is using some trash examples that dont really apply.

My suggestion to him:
Use some real world shyt, talk about your upbringing as a mixed man raised by white people. Be real, vulnerable and put down the act if you want black people to take you seriously.

What about Avon/Roemello/Ghost? He purposely chose safe imaginary characters to superficially dap fish at white expense and avoid going down an uncomfortable rabbit hole that examines both White/Black acceptance for these other characters too

it's already sus to see white folks being Malcom X-light, let alone half-white biracials, that's currently making money with/for white folks, giving their opinions about the dangers of white acceptance

what more evidence do you need about activism being big business, especially race based, than Kaeps' actions

I will never give Whitlock any credit for anything. I can find others with that same conclusion elsewhere.
popular messenger/message deflection tactic...then later attribute a message to Whitlock, so to discredit it without refuting it, despite agreeing with his current conclusion about Kaep

This thread is jokes. Here's an an example of what Kaep is talking about from an NBA owner.

In 2017 two former employees said that a white male executive repeatedly called a Black co-worker "Carlton," in reference to the character from the '90s TV show "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." In at least one instance, he jokingly told the co-worker to "do the Carlton" for him. The employees said the Black co-worker on multiple occasions told the white executive to stop calling him by that name and that he was not going to dance for him. "Super racist," one former employee said.

Y'all know good and well this is a thing with white people but for some reason if Kaep says that its a thing hes a mixed c00n :mjpls:
