Right. Anyone that trades for him, has to be SURE that he is the guy going forward. And considering the injuries and his play last season, I don't see how you can be SURE of that right now.
Plus he'll be 29 this season. That's not necessarily old for a QB, but it is past the point where you should still be trying to "develop" a QB.
Kap still has A LOT in the tank...and also has A LOT to prove...he is a smart pick and will probably make a fair amount of noise wherever he lands next. Philly would be smart to do it...maybe even cleveland(he may not want cleveland though...from one cesspool to another)

Hoyer, McCown, Smith, Fitz, Foles, Bradford, Stafford, and Tannehill were starters but Kaep is a backup when he's better and more proven than all of them:mjpls:
Exactly...cuz went to a SB and then got robbed from going to another SB against Seattle...Kap is a great sign imo

I'm still in disbelief that Kaep is really as bad as he looked last year. That 9er O-line was straight feces. I mean if you watch the tape the dude was running for his life all season long.

Get him the RIGHT coach, a SOLID o-line, a RB to help him out and a few guys to throw to and I don't see why he can't be 2013 Colin again. The dude that was carving through everybody.

With all that said I have absolutely no idea who's system he would fit in. Sounds like he's destined for Cleveland honestly.

Not to mention he had 3 injuries. No one talks about that or that he was benched because he was actually injured. That's probably why dude is peeved. Org treated him like shyt then said "Hey bruh, wanna come back?"

Everybody already knows what Kap can do with a good defense behind him and an O-Line to protect him. If he goes to Denver, he'll be back to form and Denver will be a problem.

The funny thing is, usually when players request trades the fan base turns on them and vilifies them; but with the Niners, none of the fan base blames any player for leaving/retiring because the organization is sooooooo trash.

Just think, they'll end up trading Kap (somebody will trade for him, please believe it) and going into the season with Gabbert as the starting QB. Blaine fukkin Gabbert! One of the bottom 3 starting QB's in the league last season, and this is who we're gonna try and say is going to win us games?

WTF happened to my Niners, brehs? It was all good 4 years ago

Chances are the homie is going to Denver. They're basically built like 2012 49ers but with better receivers. His contract is cheap for a starting QB and they will likely let Osweiller go in free agency.

That doesn't make sense unless Osweiller is looking for big bank. He's probably a better pick than Kaep due to his age and is less of a project.

It's interesting that Kaep is leaving though. You'd think his best chance to start is with SF but things must have reallly gone sour. I'm sure we'll hear more about what really went on when he's moved. Wonder how the locker room really feels about him. Don't think it's all that positive.

Kaep still has a rocket for an arm and is one of the most athletic QBs ever. If he finds the right fit, he'll do well.

Are you serious? His contract is VERY team friendly. It's a large number, but it's structured in a way that they don't have to pay him much at all if he doesn't play at least 80 percent of the snaps.

Colin Kaepernick's 49ers contract is team-friendly deal
It can be as friendly as you want. If teams know you are likely to cut him they are not gonna take him with his huge number in a trade.

There is a reason the agent is loking for a trade. Because he knows if Kaep gets cut he wont get anywhere near that money in the open market.

Typically it's liek this in the NFL:
  • If a player asks to be TRADED it is because they are happy with the money they are making now but unhappy with their situation and dont feel like someone will give them anything near that money in the open market. So they'd rather keep the same contract if they can and go to another team
  • If a player asks to be CUT it's because they are unhappy with their current contract and/or situation and feel like they can get the same money or more elsewhere so why go to a new team with the same contract they are unhappy with
Teams on the other hand are different.

OBVIOUSLY I'm exaggerating. But nikkas acting like he didn't take that team to the Super Bowl and win it. Dude was in the right system at the time and that's just what he needs. I don't need to post stats because all you have to do is look at the Ws

The defense took the team to super bowl no different than denvers defense took theirs

:heh: Your Kaep hate's affecting your memory. 30 + scored on us in the divisional game that year and the Falcons had 24 points at halftime of the NFC Championship. Our secondary was the weak link each game that run. Nothing suggests he was managing games to wins.
