The beauty of this is that it's making me pay attention to rappers that I wouldn't have listened to if it was a regular track by them.

So many rappers may gain new fans out of this. Kendrick deserves credit for that too. I love this entire situation. Whether or not people think it's being too blown out of proportion, it's making so many of us listen to new songs rather than reminisce on the past.

Am I the only one who feels that Drake has the most at stake here. His "core fans" are, in essence, hip-hop fans right now. Period. He also has put out way more music and established a much larger presence than K. Dot. (He's also one of the only others on the list who maaaaaay have a similarly heralded album under his belt in Take Care, and has an album about to drop.) All of those other guys could literally disappear tomorrow and no one would care. Drake though? Big homey's on notice the most.

I think overlooked in all of this is nobody cares about what these old/no name nikkas have to say they want to hear responses from the new cats like Meek, Wale, ASAP, Drake, etc... and none of them are gonna go on wax about it which further proves how p*ssy this new generation is...

Most of the rappers firing back don't even understand its not a diss track. :snoop:
Yeah but mainstream media (big guns like NYT, Wapo, Huffpo and TMZ) are all reporting that "Kendrick Disses and Destroys Everyone"... So even if it the intent wasn't for it to be a diss, dudes have no choice but to respond or be viewed as weak by casual fans...

On a smaller level this is how the media gassed up the East vs West rivalry in the mid 90's..Before you know it Cube was dissin Common for no reason...
