Who cares if an album ages well? That's not the point of dropping an album. Did Illmatic age well? What about Ready to Die?

Being creative is what matters. Nobody was making songs like, "Hey Mama" or "Family Business" in 2004.
Overall it wasn't a great album, but it had 3 or 4 beautiful records that compensated for the mediocre stuff.

Still love this album, but surely not the classic album everyone claims. Solid 8/10 album. But yes, the drums are very wack.

I used to play the shyt out of Family Business, even though I hated the album from jump street (still do). I still think it's a top 3 Ye song.

The best songs on The Blueprint were produced by Kanye.

It's hard for me to call it. I think it's even. Heart of the City through Song Cry is one of the best 3 song runs in hip-hop, and they both have production on there. U Don't Know is one of the top 5 hardest joints of Jay's career, and THE song that brought chipmunk beats into the picture. Basically every other vocal sample on the album isn't even sped up. Hard for me to say whether Kanye or Just did better on there. Everything both of them did was bulletproof. Kanye had 5 beats on there to Just's 4, so I guess you could say Ye had "more" heat on the album.

The mix on the album is rough as hell. Listen to it front to back with all the skits and mixing changes exposes it's flaws. Some tracks were edited cause of the samples, and some samples were recreated from the original leak.... Can't take away from the impact of the album at the time and what we've seen since... It introduced Kanye to the mainstream and the rest is history

"Heart of the City" Alone is Probably Top 3 of All time Kanye and Jay Collabo.

"Breathe Easy" was the best on there and it was a bonus/throwaway track
