The government itself is the blame for the rise in cost.

There isn't a free market when it comes to college prices because the government guarantees student loans.

What would happen if the government didn’t provide loans? That’s like saying health care is expensive because of Medicare

It's a combination of two things

1. The growing price of a college education
2. The dwindling amount of majors that have a good rate of return on investments. No longer can you get an English degree and expect to make 70k as soon as you graduate

The only thing worth while for a degree is a STEM degree and a Professional degree

I'm in this situation now. Doing a STEM major in a low cost state school that's average at best. My options were limited on a school because I'm choosing to not graduate with mountains of debt

If they didn't guarantee loans tuition would have to go down because you wouldn't have a guaranteed place to get money.

Colleges charge whatever they want because they know you can get a loan

White and black men who been here this whole time are turning towards trades as they/we've lost faith in the beaten path of higher education. For Hispanics are first and second generation, college is still a ticket in their eyes.

Higher education is a waste of time for blacks. We are better off in trades. The black community was in better shape when we had a bunch of small business owners who were plumbers, electricians, etc. Corporate America only hires c00ns and bedwenches while the majority of black college graduates are underemployed with a bunch of debt and a degree they can do nothing with.

not sure why you got low quality posting... this shyt is true. i got three degrees from three top schools and I'm not getting the same attention in the market as my non-black peers.

Masters Integrated Marketing Communications (part of dual degree)

All from top 10 institutions, i aint no slouch. lol. I actually have a good job, but I hate it and transferring to something else has been more painful than I would've thought.

Oh ok, so you're goal was to be an Engineering Manager?
