I actually found cc to be a lot more rigorous than the actual university. By far too.

Maybe its because the people at CC be aiming for top colleges....

And I just went to a local state university to save money.

I went to a "hard" school so shyt hit different for me.

College is overpriced yes but it's only a scam if you didn't plan on majoring in something that will eventually pay you good and/or you drop out

Even 60k in student debt for a 4 year degree still lets you make on average a million more over your lifetime than non college grads. 60k to make 1 million? Sounds like a good investment to me...
Imma make a thread about how to scam higher ed.

This is true. Even if someone wants to go to a university, it would be beneficial to take some courses at a CC beforehand. Kids in high school are even taking courses at a CC to get a jump-start
That on top of CLEP testing. My daughter will start taking them her junior year in HS. You can easily knock out the first two years of school damn near taking them, plus they're way cheaper than a traditional 4-yr or CC

College is somewhat a scam when most of the elective classes you have to take doesn't have anything to do with your major or career. Unless you're one of those people who like taking classes for the fukk of it

College is an INVESTMENT. Don't get it twisted. And like all investments, you can win or lose.

Do your homework to make sure you setup yourself up nicely. Go to the best place that you can afford or works for you. Don't go just because others have gone there, your parents want you to, get a degree in something you really don't like, etc. And especially don't major in bullshyt (Very important as a minority).

MAKE CONNECTIONS!!!!

You are not entitled to a degree, you are not entitled to have a job with that degree, you are not entitled to be paid nicely just because you have a degree.

And if you graduate or don't graduate from college, you can't get mad because you didn't make it work for you.

all this.

as someone who didn't make (good) connections, that shyt really is important. did it while already working, but should have done it during college (both times, but didn't).

Yea, I make "decent" money without a degree but college is definitely worth it.

A friend of mine transferred to and graduated from a UC some years back l. He was making around 130k before/during college. Got his degree and started getting offers from Facebook, Twitch, etc.

Now making at least 3x, maybe 4x what he made before. Also the pride he has in completing a degree program.

Completely different level of confidence honestly.
