Damn, Coli got no love for Phillip Rivers

He may have been overrated, but he was always a top 10 QB in the league. They should've kept Marty Schottenheimer for a bit longer because that team with Rivers/LT/Gates/V-Jax was fun to watch. Their defense was good too. It was really disappointing how that team kept coming up short.

They drafted Jacob Eason last year, so this was inevitable. The only question is, do they keep Brissett & let him contend for the job or trade him?

I can see them saying fukk it, and taking option C.

Restructure Brissett, and keep him around to mentor Eason for a couple of years before releasing both.

A lot of hate for Rivers on here.

Yeah he was the only ringless QB in one of the best QB drafts where the other guys have 2 super bowl rings. But he definitely held his own, and was a Top 5-10ish Qb for a good amount of his career.

He very could well make the HOF since he along with other QBs of that era were beneficiaries of the NFL becoming Pass league... and having one of the best and versatile RunningBacks of all time as well.

I fukked with him at NCSU and thought for sure he would be a starter in the league. He exceeded my expectations and yeah he wasn’t clutch and doesnt have hardware but he’s far from a bum QB or some of y’all making him out to be.
