TY was their only downfield threat and he was hurt when Jacoby came back. WR wasn't the teams strength. I think his hesitancy to go downfield is just a new starter playing it safe combined with a lack of personnel. They could have used the Rivers money on wideouts.

I think Jacoby can be a quality starter especially on a team with a good defense and backfield. The Colts had that. I think he just needed another season and he should have gotten that.

The Pats weren't going to pay the $20 million to bring him back. Cam was cheap.

Rivers was a waste. Paid him 25 million so we could sneak into the playoffs. Now he retired and Indy doesn't have a high pick to replace him.
Jacoby would've been a waste too. The only benefit would have been that Indy probably wins fewer games, and gets a slightly higher pick.

I think Indy was more than fair with him and got enough of a look. He started 30 games. He got a bit unlucky because in both of his seasons he got thrown in unexpectedly, but he hasn't done anything to make Indy believe he's someone to build a SB contender around.

:ohhh: Didn't even think about that.

One of the many stat stuffers from this generation that will get elevated by era and durability. Dude got the longest leash ever. All those years in SD and not so much as a SB appearance. Can't use the low expectations excuse either...he was drafted #4 overall, traded for the #1 pick and they dropped Brees for him. Had a stacked team in the beginning there too. Got away with being a supreme trash talker as well. Then topped it all off by taking Jacoby's job after he did a serviceable job last year. Not a fan, in case that wasn't apparent :pachaha:

dude only went to the playoffs 6 times in his career :scust:

Hall of Very Good :manny:

1. he accumulated stats
2. he had few bright playoff moments (beating manning for ex.)
3. he accumulated stats
4. he had 2 seasons where he was a top 3-4 player, got some mvp votes in those stretch. (2008-2009)
5. went to a different team and got to playoffs

His resume won't be enough to get him to the Hall. but i won't be surprised if he makes it in year 2040.

Not everyone wins a title or make it to the finals, all he had to deal with was Brady and Manning in their primes :heh:

And still couldn’t make one, hell even Flacco went to one playing out of his mind during his playoff run

Shouldn’t make the HOF but stat sheet stuffer gonna get in :yeshrug:

you think those chargers teams were loaded? You also forget they’ve been fukked by their FG kicker for a few playoffs games

Flacco is regarded as a fluke, no one compares him to any elite QB, you’re going to call Rivers an 8x pro bowler a fluke?

When did I compare Flacco to Philips’ body of work? I said Flacco at the least made (and won) a SB playing out of his mind.

Rivers took L’s to the Jets, Patriots (3x), Steelers, Broncos and now Buffalo. He ain’t make 1 SB, at least the other QB in the HOF who ain’t make a SB went to one.

Stat sheet stuffer

Bills, Chiefs, and Texans all traded up from the 20s to get their franchise QBs, Ravens moved up from the 50s. You have no shot at Lawrence obviously, but if Ballard falls in love with one of Fields, Wilson or Lance there's gonna be an opportunity to go up and get them.
