TY was their only downfield threat and he was hurt when Jacoby came back. WR wasn't the teams strength. I think his hesitancy to go downfield is just a new starter playing it safe combined with a lack of personnel. They could have used the Rivers money on wideouts.
I think Jacoby can be a quality starter especially on a team with a good defense and backfield. The Colts had that. I think he just needed another season and he should have gotten that.
The Pats weren't going to pay the $20 million to bring him back. Cam was cheap.
Rivers was a waste. Paid him 25 million so we could sneak into the playoffs. Now he retired and Indy doesn't have a high pick to replace him.
Jacoby would've been a waste too. The only benefit would have been that Indy probably wins fewer games, and gets a slightly higher pick.
I think Indy was more than fair with him and got enough of a look. He started 30 games. He got a bit unlucky because in both of his seasons he got thrown in unexpectedly, but he hasn't done anything to make Indy believe he's someone to build a SB contender around.
Didn't even think about that.
