Combat Jacks show is a serious show, there's a lot more people into fukkery (Tax) when it comes to hiphop (or just people in general but no other genres contain any public fukkery) so it was very expected. Just observe the threads on here, or why Charlemagne is the biggest radio host or why Dj Akademiks is shytting out more views than rappers.

fair point but he still has lost listeners...end of the day your product gotta deliver and his show was better when it wasn't just him. And stop w/ him being "serious" ...he over talks guest and forces corny jokes. I'm not even gonna get on how annoying he was on Tax live podcast trying to be "hip"

I'm not saying Charlie Rose serious, but it's a podcast that you want to learn something from, mostly hiphop history. And ge goes through everything in detail chronologically and he'll have intelligent discussions with cats. Tax is just fukkery and pure comedy with like 2 % knowledge. And I enjoy them both, but for very different reasons.

I don't think he talks over guests anymore either, he did it when he was a rookie, I've noticed that nearly all Rookies do it. Noriega is killing the "over talking" right now, but he'll get better. As far as corny jokes goes, I don't know, not during the interviews at least. But he does talk some shyt after and before, and it seems pretty forced cause you can hear that it's not him.

And just cause it's entertainment doesn't mean that it has to be pure fukkery, you need a Combat to interview a Eric B or Erick Sermon and you need a tax to interview Remy Ma, a stripper or a Maino. And both would give you completely different but great interviews with Dame.

If it's a guest that I fukk with I'll listen to the show but I havent listened these past two episodes...when it was him and the crew I could care less about who they had on cause they could carry the show on their own but with Combat doing the show by himself it's entirely dependent on guest now... so if he has someone like Westside Gunn on who's an independent artist the show is not gonna do numbers like that but next week if he has Afrika Bambaata on he might get 100k listens lol

I agree with this too.. honestly, I fukk with the podcast, have been since the PNC days, but Combat has been on some straight fukkboy shyt lately...the worst was how he handled that whole Premium Pete situation

Whatever happend to Pete? Why was he kicked off the show? Last episode I listened to was the Shawn Penn joint. I aint like the way he snaked Dame neither. Dame made Combat Jack reach the level of success of where its at. Reggie even said that himself on The Breakfast Club.

Agree. Helped me get thru some stuff a few years back. Knew a good thing wouldnt last long tho, like all good things. I dont check for the episodes anymore unless he interviews a cat im interested in. Eric B is 1 example. Shawn Penn, like u said, was great too. Other than dat - not really.

Loved when it was the crew. Could care less about the guest, it was dat great. Dallas Penn annoyed me most times tho. Funny but used to throw the flow of the show off w/ his left field shyt & overtalking. He was worse than Combat imo.

Nowadays i usually only fukk with Juan Ep, Tax, Brilliant Idiots, Drink Champs as far as podcasts. fukk with Joe Budden's podcast here & there. Then Roll Out Show & Corey Holcombs show, both on Youtube.

Never checking out phony RapRadar w/ them dikkriding non-credible dikksucking & fake laughin Elliott Wilson & B.Dot. Industry podcast too, which is how they get them good guests at least. Too industrialized for me tho.

would love to see yung mazi as a guest. combat been on his black howard stern shyt. goat interviewer. someone in here had the nerve to bring up No Jumper as a contender LMAOOO. those guys sit around and take adderalls and xans and count the number of times Lil Yachty drops "boat" adlibs in his songs. interviewing D-league ASAP mob members and shyt. come on man.

CJ doesn't have much of a personality only thing he had going for him was the guests he got, same thing with Peter Rosenberg/Cipha sounds shyt, and Taxstone might be more entertaining but he is corny and over the top with the street stuff. If Charlamagne had any sense he would dump the annoying white guy and launch his own juan epstein/combat jack type serious hiphop history shyt mixed with the Taxstone fukkery and he would make them all irrelevant. Plus Charlamagne is from down south and partial to southern artists so he could also diversify the hiphop podcast game and bring in another audience.

CJ a great interviewer tho, I gots to give him that, gets life stories out of these cats, mediates the pace of conversation well

Tax has some of the worst off days I've ever heard in the podcast world tho, big body and mendeecees eps were a mess

There's so many podcasts now I can't keep up. I didn't like the way Combat did Pete but I'll still check the show if he has a good guest. He's had a few good ones this year but I've skipped a lot more than I've listened to. Eric B, Prince Paul, Bowlegged Lou and No Malice were good but the last few I've had no interest in.
