21:20 and on, Combat sounds like a snake...

Yo Pete is just rambling on and on.... he doesn't say what happened. What exactly is it that makes Combat a snake? I mean I kinda get the idea that Combat didn't address all of his gripes with Pete directly, but even that is a reach without Pete saying so.

Of course Schulz thinks he's making a point in comparing & contrasting how CBJ & Brilliant Idiots are run, but there are close to zero similarities there. The whole purpose of Brilliant Idiots is to offer edgy takes on current events. The show wouldn't be as popular without Andrew, or someone like him. I like Pete, but he didn't offer nearly as much to CBJ. Rambling, the reoccurring jail story, constantly mocking Asian people, judging Blackness by street cred... there's really no place for that on a podcast where they're attempting to conduct hip-hop & hip-hop related interviews. "Fukk Premium Pete" isn't a good thing in the context of the Combat Jack Show & where Combat is trying to go, because people will stop listening to CBJ because he's a distraction. Not to mention Pete isn't saying anything of substance, Andrew & Charlamagne are at least trying to, so their talking points can be debated.

Pete is better off doing his own thing, and Combat has to find another way to keep his podcast fresh with all the competition out here. He may not be the most interesting dude out there, but it's his show. He has to find some entertaining co-hosts that share similar ideals. Dallas & Combat were fun, but then the cast expanded and he went through a period where Dallas wasn't bringing much to the table, then bounced. Then the roster shrank to Combat & Pete, but there was a period where Pete wasn't adding anything so Combat kicked him off the show.

I mean obviously CJ has problems with his cohosts cause both dallas and pete are gone, just dont come on anymore either right?

If CJ git a good host ill listen but without the original crew it isnt entertaining.

Both tax and nore are much more entertaining

Wow that bit of Pete's show about the breakup was terrible. Lots of rambling and repeating himself. Schultz seemed more like the host than Pete. That being said I got the general gist of what he was saying and it's not good for Combat. Sounds like he fukked over Pete and wouldn't own up to it.

Has Pete's show featured Matt Raz, Dallas, or any other of the old gang? Bringing them back would be cool.

Combat always seemed insecure to me, focusing way too much on comments. When the show had the big cast he was always the least interesting person there.

i think with Combat because he was the host, he had to be the straight man so to speak to a bunch of characters like a Dallas or a Pete and he didn't want to be.. he wanted to be looked at as a personality as well as a host/interviewer..now as the years have gone by it has whittled down to a lone voice.

Yea that makes sense. I will admit the chaos was off putting at times, and I get why Combat wanted a more professional setting. Still I think they could have figured something out.

Man I know I'm repeating myself but I miss those days of the show. Each episode would have at least a few random or planned mini convos that just made me bust out laughing. I'd be walking around the neighborhood trying hard not to look crazy.

Sounds like it was about money. Toward the end he talks about just having a kid and approaching Combat about getting for of a percentage. Combat told him "I didn't hire you as a co-host. Dallas brought you in and he left....." When Pete told that story I said DAMN. I think Pete at that moment made a decision that he needed to bounce.
