Streaming, Torrenting, Downloading, normal browsing 24/7. my current cap is 700GB. Last month i used 105 gigs, this month i've used 100 gigs cause I bought a series on iTunes. Clue me in on how you can use that much data.

My niece and nephew stream all day when they are here. but still. all ya'll nikkas must have movie, music or data services ya'll torrent huh?

they cut cable cause you can get the episode you just missed, in full HD quality, 15 mins after the show aired... and why would you stop there? bluray? got it... porn... got it... music... got it... games... got it...



and you think the internet providers don't know what's going on... even if you got all the blockers like i got, they still see how MUCH data it is... and they know damn well it ain't netflix and online gaming that's killing you

and they want their cut... and they will force it...


eventually you gonna be left with two choices.... go ahead and get that cable back so you don't have to download all these shows


or pay the 5 and keep torrenting.... which they will find a way to penalize you just as high as a cable bill anyway

True, my cable bill is $210 with internet included which costs $80 by itself. (for gaming and now i have devices always in my house; if it was just me i'd have 50 MB instead of 100mbps.) but i think the prices are too similar anyway.

I don't download that much stuff really these days cuz there's no TV shows out I'm downloading other than ray donovan. I don't download movies, cuz my boy puts them on plex and I just share them off there.

True, my cable bill is $210 with internet included which costs $80 by itself. (for gaming and now i have devices always in my house; if it was just me i'd have 50 MB instead of 100mbps.) but i think the prices are too similar anyway.

I have comcast. I have 75Mbps internet and I have digital cable with HBO and Encore. total bill is $168 each month. this is with 2 HD cable boxes and 3 HD digital converters for a total of 5 TV's outta 6 that are connected to cable tv.

How you share Plex and can people be on it the same time? I share my Netflix password with a few brehs. Sometimes we all watch shyt together on the PS4 in party chat. Somebody does a countdown so all of us start at the same time

my boy has the plex server set up on his imac. he downloads the movies and puts them in whatever directory plex specifies.

I just gotta download the plex app to PS3/PS4/roku and use his login info to access/stream his movies. it's simple. it works on my samsung smartv as well cuz it has a built in app.

I dont know how many people can be on simultaneously, but it's definitely been times when more than one person here was on it watching different shyt.

as for netflix, your subscription depends on how many people can be on. I think we pay like $12/month and that gives you 4 screens plus HD and I have never run into a problem and we're sharing with about 8 people.

Yeah, I recently upgraded to 4 screens. I was hoping Plex had something simple like that because the sometimes me and the brehs can't find something on netflix that none of us has seen yet and when someone suggests to download one that's not on netflix everybody gets lazy.

if u got 3 roommates pitching in on that bill, you might as well get the unlimited. that's only an extra $17 split three ways. for me, I'm already paying the ENTIRE cable/internet bill, so adding another $50 monthly ain't something I'm tryin to be a part of.

Word. Before that I was living by myself with only the 105 performance internet package since I download a lot of movies, and shows, and game a lot for $75 a few years back. I never fukked with cable and no matter how much I did, I never capped out. I also did this with my own router and modem. Renting out their combo router+modem for $7/mo was straight ass, and with their equipment , they could probably do some bullshyt to slow you down your speed with no freedom of options to fix it.

as of July 24th, only 379GB have been used. and that's with everyone in a house of 4 streaming and what not and me working from home during the day..
